Tying your tubes after a c-section

Hi Lovely Ladies...
I have a question about having your tubes tied after having a c-section...does anyone have any experience with it? I am currently preggo with number two and am having a c-section and figured I'd just ask them to tie my tubes while they were in there. Any input would be appreciated. TIA.

I had it done 11 years ago August 24.

I decided after 4 children that I was done. If I knew then what I know now I never would have had my tubes tied.

Everyone reacts differently.. but the tubal was the worst mistake I've ever made. While the operation itself was no biggy. The recovery time was the same as it was with my first three c-sections.. my periods now are murderous. The dr says there is no connection between the tubal and my period problems but I don't believe it for a minute.

Anyway, as far as the tubal/c-section.. there realy isn't any difference. You have the same aches and pains as you do with a c-section alone.

My friend Valerie had the same experience w/her tubal. She has AWFUL periods, and her doctor insists that there is absolutely no connection, but I think he's wrong.

My mom had a tubal many years ago too. And she also regrets it, not for the not having anymore children part. But she feels that it impacted her body more physically. A few years back she had a hysterectomy and endo. And she feels like there was a connection there also.

I also have 4 kids, but I opted out of anything permanent for myself ( my ex had a vasectomy). For me it was more of the feeling that I always wanted the option to have more kids. I don't know if I ever will.... there are those days.. :)
