First off I appologize because I know I saw something like this on here awhile ago, but I can't seem to find it in the archives.

ANyway, I have been on HBC and skipping pills so that I could skip my period. This had been working pretty well for me, but now I am experiencing constant breakthrough bleeding for the last month or so because I missed a pill one day and that threw it all off.

I want to save myself the hassle by taking the pills regularly again and having regular periods, but I don't know where's where in my cycle anymore. Can I just stop taking them for 7 days and return to normal? Will my cycle just 'adjust'? How do I go about this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated here. I am getting pretty tired of this.

Thank you!

You can just stop for 7 days and then start again. As long as you take 21 or more active pills, followed by 7 or fewer days off, you will be protected.

You don't really have a "cycle" anymore, since the pill suppresses ovulation, so it doesn't matter when you stop.

Yes, you can take your break now. How long it takes to get back to your usual cycle just depends on the person - I think everyone's pretty different that way.
