tampons

ok so i just started my period so i have to use tampons right now, and everytime i put them in i can feel them. i though you werent suppose to? they are super cause thats all my mom has, but ive used regular size too.

so am i not sticking it in far enough? cause it feels like its coming out... so basically i guess im wondering how far am i suppose to put the applicator in?

EDIT: I get how to insert a tampon, i just dont know how far to put it in before i push it in with the applicator? make sense?

oh and i got another question even though it might make me sound stupid.

What is the pill for? is it the birth control pill? or a different one? and what are the pros and cons especially if you dont have sex. ive heard it will make hair grow on your body more. sorry if this sounds stupid but thanks for the help.

It might help if you got some slim tampons, since super are only for heavy flow days and are more than you need, and that might be contributing to your discomfort. When you're putting it in, just put it as far as you can - you can't do any harm that way, even though I know it can be a little intimidating! If you go as far as you can, you shouldn't be able to feel it - although to be honest with you, I usually can kind of feel them. I'm just sort of aware of the pressure. But yeah, experiment a bit with size and how high up you put it, and see if that helps.

As for the pill, yep, that would be the birth control pill. Some of the benefits that you might get from it even if you aren't having sex include lighter and more regular periods, and possibly regulation of various hormonal issues, like PMS. There are various risks too, that you'd want to discuss with a doctor before starting to take it. But yes, many women do use the pill even when they're not sexually active. And don't worry, there are no silly questions here! :)
