This may be a stupid question so I appologize in advace :(

I've read a lot about using baby wipes, or something of the sort to clean up your vagina (after sex or wtv) and my question is, would I use the wipe like regular toilet paper? Meaning could I actually wipe on the inner part of my vagina or just on the outer lips?

And since the wipes are wet, is there any kind of soap that I would have to wash off after? (for this I am thinking no, but honestly I've never really changed a diaper without someone being with me and have only come in contact with these things a few times in my life so I'm sorry if i sound realllllly ignorant, but I guess I am when it comes to this!)

Thanks a lot, this community is AMAZING.

baby wipes are great to use. My best advice is DON'T GET SCENTED ones. I just buy the cheap brand at walmart and you can use them just like toilet paper.
You should also always wipe down and not up when wiping your vagina. You dont' want to bring any bacteria from the back up to the front which could cause an infection.

You shouldn't really mess with your vagina. I think you're thinking of using them on your vulva, which is fine as long as they're unscented.

use wipes on your vagina is okay. I work in a nursing home and we use them on all the members and have no problem. like i said before, you just need to wipe the correct way and you're fine.

Perhaps I got confused by the OP's wording. I thought she was talking about using them to...scrub the inside of her vagina, which probably wouldn't be the best idea as it does the whole cleaning thing itself.

I've used baby wipes for months after sex (I keep one container in my toy box beside the bed and one in the bathroom), and they worked ok - although recently I've been using apple cider vinegar dilluted in cold water as an after sex wash. It works amazingly! I just rinse my labia and outer regions (not the inside) and I feel pretty refreshed - also, if I'm feeling a bit stingy and sore after sex, this really helps to soothe it.

Yes they're fine, just get hypoallergenic ones (intended for babies with eczema/otherwise sensitive skin) if you are worried. They will have no perfumes, irritants etc.

I'm not 100% on this, but coming from someone from a HUGE family with lots of babies: those things are mild. I mean, baby skin is something you have to be reeeal careful with, so I doubt there's anything harmful in baby wipes.

AS logn as you use unscented, alcohol free wipes, you'll have no trouble at all.
Ive been using them for years with no problems :)

I second the alcohol free suggestion.

Everybody is making good suggestions. I was just going to let you know that now they are making "adult" wipes. You can get them at Walmart both by the toilet paper and by the pads/tampons. I got some put out by Cottonelle to clean up on period mornings when I don't have time for a shower.

I wasn't sure about the baby wipes, so I picked up some tucks medicated wipes instead (the kind for hemmoroids). They are PH balanced for vaginal use as well, are gentle, and have a lovely cooling effect. I'd go with those over baby wipes, because they are marked for vaginal use.
