Sorry if this is commonly asked/talked about, I just joined today.

I've been on Seasonale for two years and I've never had any problems
(except for when I first started)
I'm not supposed to get my period for like another two and a half weeks. And all of a sudden it just like SHOWS UP this morning. I'm pissed off because I really would rather not have it right now.

The thing that's making me worry is that it's not like I'm just spotting a little bit (which happens once in a while, and goes away after a few hours or after a day) I'm like ON MY FUCKING PERIOD. Which is rediculous because this isn't supposed to happen.

What do I do? What's wrong with me? I've been taking my pill like clockwork. Should I be worrying?
I'M SO MAD RIGHT NOW. My own birth control betrayed me. I guess there are worse ways it could betray me. BUT STILL.

My gynocologist's office is closed until Monday morning, otherwise I'd call.

Breakthrough bleeding is very very common on any type of pill - and your odds increase when you take Seasonale or use another form of bc pill to delay periods. There really isn't any need to worry - this doesn't mean your protection has been compromised (unless of course you miss a few pills, but you didn't so haha) .. it just means your period is here early. You should keep taking your pills as directed.

I have endometriosis and I absolutely hated Seasonale. I spotted most of the time I was on it.

I'd say endometriosis is more than just a pain.

It's a debilating life altering disease.
