Jan. 2nd, 2003 03:56 amI am so scared right now.
My boyfriend and I were having sex and when he pulled out, the condom wasn't there, so I hurried and pulled it out. There was cum in the condom but I don't know if any got on me or inside me. I just finished my period today, so what are the chances I could get pregnant. and how much does the 72 hour pill cost and how do I get it? Is it easy or do I have to go thru medical stuff? I'm really scared and I can't stop crying

Good luck!

Date: 2003-01-03 01:05 pm (UTC)Plan B is the one you want. I think that's the one most places offer now anyway. The old kind was like 4 pills and made me really vomity.
But Plan B was fine. You take one right away, and then you take the next one 12 hours later. You're basically taking two strong birth control pills, so it's not unusual to feel a little nauseous. (I didn't notice it at all, though.) What I DID notice was that I got my next period really early - like two weeks early. I called the office and they said that was completely normal.
Just thought I'd warn you - I was caught off guard and didn't have any tampons with me.
And like someone said above, most women ovulate 14 days after their period starts. However, it's MOST women. It's possible to get pregnant at any point in your cycle - just not always very likely.
Just relax, take the pill. You might not get your next period until it was due - about a month from now. But that's a long time to wait when you're nervous about it, and being nervous could make it late. If it makes you feel better, go to the drugstore and get a home pregnancy test. You have to wait two weeks from that night to be sure though.
Also - just in case you were wondering - if something happened and you DID end up pregnant, taking the morning after pill wouldn't hurt the baby.
Hang in there!
