trimming & hair on vulva

vaginapaginahi everyone, i've been reading here for a while and this is my first time asking a question... :) I have 2 and they are both about hair down there...
1. it seems like lately i've had way more hair on the inside of my outer labia... (like in between inner and outer labia.) as inspired by a recent member post, there's a general anatomy picture with the area circled behind the cut
The hair here seems a little coarser than my regular pubic hair, and it causes some irritation when masturbating. Does anyone know why this hair could suddenly be creeping closer to my clit?
2. I really don't like the idea of shaving/waxing/Nairing down there (besides my bikini line)... I wouldn't mind trimming if I didn't get so itchy afterwards! I also feel like I lose a lot of my softness when I trim. Does anyone have any tips for trimming that would prevent the itchiness and also the prickly feeling?

Date: 2006-05-21 10:17 am (UTC)DO NOT PUT NAIR THERE!!!!!! I put nair in the areas you were describing--well, all over the hairy part actually--and the part where it goes from 'outer-outer labia' to 'inner-outer labia' (basically where the outer labia starts touching my other girly bits) got a chamical burn so bad before the time limit was up that it started bleeding!!! bad bad bad, and i was the day before prom.
If you're going to nair, which I personally find very ineffective, then stay very much where it says to--ON THE BIKINI LINE.
I also use hair conditioner. Put some on, wait about 5 minutes, then put some more on and use it like shaving cream.
Atually, the pricklyness you're talkign about is at least part of the reasonw hy I started shaving completely. I only get the pricklies for about 1 day a week now.
