I'm on the waiting list for a Tubal Ligation and I wondered if anyone in this commmunity had any tips, advice or experiences to share with me. I've obviously got information from the surgical/medical stand point but thought it would be nice to hear from other women who have had the procedure.
Thanks :)
Thanks :)

Date: 2006-01-09 12:23 am (UTC)If you're on the Pill for hormone regulation purposes, remember that a tubal won't help with any of that...my doctor told me (and it's been backed up on many forums online) that that's the biggest complaint women have about the procedure. They blame the increased bleeding and cramps on their tubal, when it's really because they've stopped taking BC.

Date: 2006-01-09 01:50 am (UTC)I took some Percocet the first day, followed by the ibprofen the next few days. Take it easy for a few days, but in about a week or so I was back to myself.
I had the laparoscopic tubal ligation (old slash and burn, no clips).
If you have any more questions, please do email me. (addy's on profile).
