late on first day of BC

I'm on OTC-lo and today (sunday) is the day to start a new pack.


I fully intended to start my new pack at 8:30 pm because I was having trouble remembering it at 3:30 pm. But I went christmas shopping today, and forgot to pack my pills. I didn't get home til 9 pm


BUT i just NOW remembered to take it. At 1:30 am.


Now I know that I could go a whole month taking it at 1:30, but would there be any danger in me starting it at 8:30 tomorrow? I won't be having sex til next month, but i was really bad at remember my pill at my time last month (i was supposed to at 3:30 I wouldn't usually remember til around 8, somedays earlier, some days later).


I am really good at remembering my pill when my husband is home (he's in iraq), because i do NOT want to get pregnant, but when he's not here, I'm like "eh....".


So will it cause any problems for next month or even this month if i take tomorrow's at 8:30 pm even though I took it so late tonight?

You should be fine taking it at your regular time tomorrow. It shouldn't cause any problems.

that'll be fine. the only risk would possibly be a slight lowering of effectiveness, but if you're not sexually active, don't worry about it.

And, maybe if someone were very prone to it, a slightly increased risk of breakthrough bleeding? I haven't got anything to back that up, though- and it's not dangerous, just annoying anyway.

No, I've messed up with my pills alot in the months my husband is gone, and no breaththrough bleeding ever occurs for me. My period still always comes on time as well, so I guess I'm lucky there. :)

i know that when i've done similar things, i ended up feeling a bit sick to my stomach, that sort of feeling... but i think otherwise you'll be okay :)

you will be fine since you aren't sexually active, so you have nothing to worry about in that sense...just take it when you planned to.
