ok, im new* ;D and i've got a question about something, i dont know if anyone here knows any of this info but.. i was wondering: what is the maximum amount of time that a girls period can last? because i got mine tuesday the 19th, and it's still flowing to this day which is what? about a week and a half later. Usually it's only suppose to last me about 3-5 days since I'm on the pill, and i've been on it for about a year.. and my period has never been this way before. is there something wrong? or what?

I'm not aware that there is a maximum.. or do you mean "..and still be considered healthy?" I knew someone that had hers for 4 months, but she was put on pills to regulate it at that point.

And in regards to the date - did you mean Tuesday the 19th of October? If so, you'll have had your period for 3 weeks, if you still have it tomorrow, not a week and a half.

I would certainly phone your gyn and see what they think about it - if its enough to worry about, they'll have you go in and get checked out.

I expereinced the same last summer... A nurse, P.A. & doc told me that my body was just getting used to the pill - EVEN THO I had already been on it (the same one) for a year. However, I would definitely call your physician & talk to someone about it.

you could definately call a doc or get it checked out. bodies do strange things. i used to have my period for a week and a half almost every month! one time i had my period twice in the same month just a week apart from one another and skipped the next month.
