I started taking Lutera on Oct 11, of this month. Day one of my period. I had some side effect nausea but I took it at night with something small and everything was fine.  About a week ago I got this pain in my lower abdomen it hurt if I even sneezed or bent down funny it was more sore than pain but definitely discomfort.  Then Tuesday night I got slammed with an incredibly powerful case of nausea. At first I chalked it up to the dinner I had had, but lately its been coming and going at odd times. First thing in the morning , evening, late at night. And I had none of this when I started the Pill. The first week or two I would have expected it. So I called my Dr. and they told me I needed to take the test. So I did yesturday and I DID get a negative result twice BUT I didnt use my first morning Urine and the test said its only 53% accurate 4 days before youve even missed your period. and after getting my negative result and being up at midnight with another bout of nausea I reread the box and it said I should have waited all together and took the tests this morning because I havent missed my period yet.

I have a little girl shes 4 and right after I had her I went on Lutera for a month then and never felt anything like I am now. Although the difference is I wasnt sexually active then and am very much so now.

I keep feeling something in my lower abdomen too. Its not cramping or if it is its extremely light cramping kinda feels like the pressure and movement  of gas but not in my stomach- lower.

When I started the Lutera the packet said if I started on Day One of my period by the end of my period Day 7 I would be 'safe'. So I went with that. Now Im rethinking it.......

My boyfriend is taking me to the Hospital this afternoon for hopefully a full on diagnosis before I just go insane.

If I am -I am on meds I need to stop immediately.  So there is definitely an urgency to knowing as soon as possible.

According to the BC packet I should start my period Tuesday. So Im thinking 3 days away the Hospital should be able to tell me something????

I never missed a single pill took them like clock work.

Is there a way the Hospital can tell me today if I am or not?

I mean with the nausea weird feeling in my abdomen I just want to know something concrete here before I go nuts.

Is it possible to get pregnant on the Pill?

I know it is... but on my first month?

Im just so confused.

and VERY scared.

While you can get pregnant on the pill, if you haven't missed any the likelihood is small that you would have gotten pregnant. Did you ensure that the other medications you are taking aren't ones that would interfere with absorption and/or effectiveness?

The hospital can tell you based on a blood test whether you are pregnant or not. Just try to relax and take it as things come. Sending many good thoughts to you!

It is possible to get pregnant on the pill, but if you're taking them properly it's very rare - less than one women over the course of a year will get pregnant with perfect use. However, one thing to keep in mind is that some pills can mimic all the signs of morning sickness! Even if you've taken it once, it may not have the same effects the second time around. It may be a pill mismatch with your body rather than pregnancy - in fact, that's rather more likely. Going to the doctor sounds like a good idea, as those certainly aren't side effects that are going to make you very happy.

It is possible to get pregnant one the pill, however it's extremely rare if you take it perfectly. With that said, it may be that you had a bit of a cold that coincidentally showed up the same day you started your pill. It's more likely, though, that it's side effects are rearing their ugly head. Stress may also be a factor here, as sometimes you can trick yourself into thinking you're pregnant because you may have had some of the symptoms.

Honestly, no two pregnancies are the same. And pregnancy symptoms are also the symptoms of many other things. I would not go to the ER, however, to put you at ease, I'd call the hospital, your doctor, or your insurance even and ask if they have an "ask a nurse" type thing. They're there to put your mind at ease.

As I mentioned pregnancy symptoms may be the symptoms of other things, you may want to check out this link. (http://www.babyzone.com/features/content/display.asp?contentid=119")

Please edit your post to have a standard-sized font; as another commenter mentions, it can be difficult to read when it is small.

I have a feeling it's your pill that's making you sick. I was incredibly nauseous on every hormonal form I tried. I threw up all the time on them. It's a pretty common side effect, ESPECIALLY if you just started a new pill. It usually takes 3 months for your body to adjust to the hormones.
