i've heard all this stuff about the keeper. has anyone ever tried instead? if i'm not mistaken its just like a keeper but no stem. can anyone tell me more about it? the mechanics and stuff?

I'm with you on that. I love Insteads, however I have to add cotton pads to my cup to keep from making a mess when I remove it.
