I'm now 11 days late, and I've taken two pregnancy tests in the last four days, and both came out negative. I have no symptoms of early pregnancy, and I don't feel sick or different at all--I'm just not menstruating, which is kinda nice, but could mean there's something wrong. I'm hesistant to schedule a dr.'s appt. because I'm uninsured and if it turns out to be nothing, it'd be a waste of money I really need for other things, like food and shelter and what-not. How much longer should I wait before I need to do something, or should I not wait and get an exam now?

Date: 2005-06-27 09:43 am (UTC)Are there any clinics in your area that do blood pregnancy tests for free? I live in a college town, and there are at least three I can think of that will do a blood test (more accurate than urine tests) for free. I'd call around and check just to be safe.
Other than being pregnant, stress, lack of sleep, lots of sleep, changes in exercise and diet etc can all cause periods to be late, be completely skipped.
Since you've had two negative tests - I'd try to relax and take your mind off of it for a few days, and your period might just show up :)
Good luck sweetie!
