So, I decided to bear the pain and wax my bikini area. I would have gotten it professionally done, but since I live in smalltown, USA, there aren't any waxers around here..other than your basic facial hair waxers.
It was pretty painful at first, but after a while, you sort of get used to it. However, I have quite a few strays left, and honestly, I wish I could figure out a way to take care of the hair "a little further back," since I can't reach it well enough to wax. Any suggestions? I tend to shave there, but I end up with itchy little booty-whiskers in less than a day.
Also, for those of you who have waxed before, do you have any tips for decreasing the pain, and also for keeping the wax from sticking to your skin? I noticed in some areas, it really seemed to cling, and yanking it loose was just, OUCH. I used baby powder with cornstarch, but someone mentioned to me that it might not work as well as talc..and I know you're not supposed to use talc down there. So, any other ideas? I'd really like to keep this up, since it's just so smooth and nice...way better than the way it feels when I shave.
