Would flavored lubed make yeasties & other bacterial infections more likely to happen if I started using it? I'm thinking the answer is yes, but wanted some feedback on what ya'll think before I go out & buy some, or before I use some & get a raging yeast infection.

Thanks!

You can get flavored lube that is sugar free, and that does not increase your chances of those things. If it doesn't specifically say "sugar free" on the bottle, it probably isn't, and those lubes will increase your chances of infection. I know at least Wet makes a pretty decent sugar-free flavored lube.

I work in an adult store and in my experience, quite a few women get yeast infections from using flavored lube. Even if they are just using it on the vulva (which I always tell anyone buying flavored lube, don't get it inside the vagina!!!) I'm guessing it depends on how sensitive you are.

Flavoured lube generally has sugars in it...so yes, that would make a yeast infection more likely.

I use it all the time! I used to get YI all the time after using lubes, but after I found these at a wonderful female-friendly sex shop, I have been delighted ever since!

I bought some flavored lube from planned parenthood made by Wet that contains a sugar substitute, and not actual sugar. It doesn't seem to cause any YIs.
