My FWB/best friend/pseudo-boyfriend and I were fooling around again last night, and once again, I bled. A lot. It's like, he can't even be slightly rough without this happening. I am always plenty wet when he fingers me, and this hasn't happened with intercourse. Just digital penetration. He's really good about it, but it's starting to take a toll on my underwear, and he's not vampiric--he's not so much into the taste of blood. (but he does very nicely tolerate it, for me) We've discussed this several times, he tries not to hit my cervix, or be excessivly rough (which sucks, as I enjoy it rough). When we first started doing this, it wasn't as much of a problem, it happened on occasion, but not all the time like now. I never had this happen with anyone else, and so I just don't know why this is. Do you think it is worthy of getting checked out at Planned Parenthood?

Nope, no pain. I never know I am bleeding until he tells me I am. And then I am always surprised. It doesn't bring on any other symptoms, and I haven't had this with anyone else--neither has he, actually. (not this much bleeding, anyway) But I've done more sexually with him than I think everyone else I've done stuff with combined. (at least levels of trust and intimacy.)

I'm getting it looked at, anyway.

I've had a similar thing happen to me, and my GP has no idea what it is. I'm going to see a gynecologist about it. In my situation, I bleed during intercourse. No matter how turned on I am, I'm never all that wet, which may be part of my problem. But you've said that's not an issue, so I really don't know. Good luck!

Oh no, I just have to look at him, and him me, and BAM! instant wetness. We have an extremely magnetic attraction. ;-)

I've experienced that, but my doctor thought it was related to my being on the pill. I was supposed to go for an internal examination but have put that off because... yeah. I'm bad like that.

What is the blood like? Bright red as if you'd cut yourself, or darker blood like during menstration? When I used to bleed after my boyfriend fingered me, it was always really bright, so I wondered if he had cut me with his nails (though this seemed highly unlikely, as I didn't have any pain - I just bled).

For me, I switched brands of the pill, which seemed to help (though I'm guessing doesn't apply to you). Now I don't rely on fingering so much, which is annoying because I used to really really enjoy it. Strangely, penetrative sex is fine for me. Sometimes I get a tiny bit of blood afterwards, but nothing like I used to.

It's probably worth seeing a doctor, because having your sex life disrupted by random bleeding does get you down, and for the peace of mind.

It's brighter as it starts, then as it tapers off, it's darker, much like a very short period.

We've been doing fingering for a couple of reasons--we haven't had time or a place to have intercourse until now (at least, starting the first of June!) and he REALLY enjoys giving oral, and I really love getting it...so it works. (also, he thinks he's bad at sex sex, but he's SO wrong.)

Maybe I'm just always going to be a bleeder? I know I've done more sexually overall with him than anyone else, so who knows. At any rate, I'm getting checked out Friday, just to make sure.

This happened to me when I started having sex again recently, after none for four years (and even that had been pretty scarce). He was well-hung so there was some adjusting to be done. The first time we had penetrating sex, oh god I bled like a feckin' fountain. Freaked him out, I tell ya what. What's strange is I had almost no pain. I felt pressure on my cervix, but nothing excruciating. So I grabbed a wad of toilet paper for the ride home, stuffed it in my panties and drove home, less than ten minutes away. Bled through that fairly quickly. SO I put in a tampon.

And 30 minutes later I had bled through the tampon and SOAKED my pants. :(

I started freaking out, especially when I pulled out the tampon and even more blood gushed (not exaggerating, it made noise!) out, though it was watery, making me think it wasn't just blood.

And at this point, I'm thinking tampons are a very bad idea, but I have no pads, so I went to bed with a folded up washcloth.

By the next afternoon, the bleeding had stopped and I was in no pain.

A week or so later, I tried again, with this same guy. This time, he did oral on me for... omg, forever, and it was delish! But then he fingered me, trying to open me up more, I imagine. He stopped doing that, went to put on a condom, and said "You're bleeding again, a lot." I was like "FUCK. I'm never going to have sex again!"

That time the bleeding abated within hours and it wasn't nearly as heavy.

While I never got checked out (dumb idea, considering how much I bled initially) I've traced it down to cervical damage.

Even now, when sex gets a bit rough with my current boyfriend (also well-hung) or in certain positions, I do get a tiiiiiny bit of spotting when I use the bathroom directly after sex.

I think it's interesting that you say it doesn't happen with intercourse. *ponders* But I would definitely go to your gyno to see if there are any cervical tears. Gotta watch out for yourself. :)

Though I must say, we've only had intercourse the once, and we had done the whole oral/digital thing, and I did bleed then. So...who knows. Sigh.

I am starting to suspect cervical tears, though. It's bright like period blood, then darkens as it tapers off.

At any rate, I am going in Friday to have it looked at.

tell him to cut his nails and just use lube too even if you think you are wet enough.
