Hi I'm Lan, and my vagina farts. It's the best thing in the world.
Do they really exist? What are they called? Does anyone else's vagina fart, and what do you feel about them?

Its called a Queef...It happened to me once when I slept with a guy that had a particularly large member!

it happens occasionally if i'm having sex at a slightly odd angle (doggy style is the worst) and sometimes for unknown reasons. it just happens when air gets into your vagina. they're harmless (if sometimes a little embarassing), but you shouldn't let people blow air into your vagina. if it gets through your cervix and into your uterus, you could get a bad infection.

doggystyle is the worst for queefs. i agree. didnt know it could cause an infection however.

To actually get an infection, do you actually have to blow into my vagina or can I get one by just possibly having sex doggy style?

And how does this infection work?

i'm not exactly sure. sexing doggy stylee shouldn't hurt anything. it's actually FORCING air into the uterus through the cervix.

actually, before the air gets that far it could enter the bloodstream and cause an embolism/death. of course this is very rare (pregnant women and those with enlarged pelvic vessels are more at risk), and i'm not sure what kind of person would blow that hard into a vagina...

no, they are fine. your vagina is designed to push air out that gets trapped in there. queffing from sex (i.e. doggie style) is normal and quite common. i've never heard of infection being caused by this. also, when i awake in the morning, i usually have some air in there that needs to come out (not sure what causes this, may be my sleeping style, or the fact that i have sex dreams often).

the way an embolism would form is if your partner had their mouth pressed up against your vulva so the air COULDN'T escape. not to mention they would have to blow really hard. like i said, this is very rare and shouldn't really be a concern. blowing air into a vagina isn't as dangerous as it is uncomfortable (unless it's done lightly). but blowing air in, and having air trapped due to intercourse are two seperate things.

we call them "fanny farts" in Australia... why? well because here fanny means vagina... unlike in the US where it means arse... Did provide a few shocks when "The Nanny" first started over here!
