well, i just joined this community just now because ive seen it before and now i have something im realllly freaked out about and was hoping someone here could help me!
for the past five or six days ive been living with my boyfriend and we have been having sex about three times a day or more, and each time is an hour or so. this morning we made love for almost two hours, and just now i all of a sudden really had to pee, and i could hardly hold it till i got there, and then when i went it burned really terribly, and then i found blood when i wiped. i havent been spotting, and ive been taking the pill regularly. this has never happened to me, i dont know what it is. is it because we have had sex so much? i dont think it could possibly be an std, because ive been tested recently, and he also doesnt have anything, so what is this? should i have it checked out? does anyone know what this could be? also, if this has anything to do with it, last night after we had had sex, when i peed it smelled absolutely disgusting. i dont think im dehydrated, so that couldnt be the cause. is this too much information? sorry, im just so freaked out. i dont know what to do

Could be a UTI... I would get to the doctor now so you aren't suffering this weekend.

Sounds to me like you might have a bladder or urinary tract infection .. I'd get it checked out!

Yeah, definitely a UTI. The exact same thing JUST happened to me. It sucks hardcore, but as soon as you visit your doctor and get some pills to take care of it, it gets better. So GO!

sorry, quite off-topic...

yeah, it most likely is a bladder or urinary tract infection. i got a bladder infection from having sex with my boy. it's no big deal, but get into the doctor asap because the longer you leave it, the worse it can get, and it can get REALLY painful!!

I don't know if the blood was in your urine or from your vagina, but if it was in your urine, you probably have a urinary tract infection. To prevent them, go to the bathroom after you have sex, even if you don't feel like you need to. I have had them before. Your gynocologist will probably prescribe an antibiotic which will clear it up quickly. Until you see your doctor, drink 100% cranberry juice regularly. Try not to panic. UTIs are common and very treatable; however don't hesitate to call your doctor and make an appointment, if untreated UTIs can damage your kidneys.

I vote that it's a UTI also, and I second the cranberry juice. As soon as I feel like I might be getting a UTI , I get a big container of the strongest stuff I can find. I will drink as much of the stuff as I can until I can get the the doctor, and quite a bit of water too. Something in the cranberries makes it hard for the ickies to stick to the walls of you bladder. Plus, lots and lots of fluids help. It hurts less to pee when there is actual pee comming out.

I wonder if cranberry sauce has enough cranberry to help? I really like cranberry sauce...

I just wanted to chime in, I had the exact same problem about a year ago... did you doctor mention why you may have gotten a UTI? I was told it was due to bacteria being pushed up and aggitated or something by sex, and that it is very important to make sure and pee after sex to make sure and flush out the bacteria. This is merely what my doctor told me, so i don't think it will do any harm. Keep up that cranberry juice!!

Unfortunately, since the female urethra is shorter than the male's, we get UTIs far easier. Which sucks.

I'm glad you got diagnosed!

Actually.. after my boyfriend and I have too many hours of sex I get a burning sensation when I pee and I have a little bit of blood. It usually only lasts for the rest of the day and then like 24 hours later I'm fine. I figure it's from too much fricton in that area. It never turned out to be an UTI.
