this saturday is my last birth control pill (it's a placebo). i made the mistake of thinking i had another month's worth when i went home from spring break, so i didn't get any more while home. when i got back to school, i found out i didnt have any more. my bf was supposed to go to planned parenthood to pick me up some more and mail it to me, but he got in a car accident, and now he probably won't be able to go there till next week. now, i probably won't be seeing him till the weekend of april/beginning of may, so no sex for me until then. do you think i'd be ok if i missed a week or two of bc? i'm on lo-ovral if that counts for anything

and little o/t, but after all the posts i've seen here, i bought a diva cup! i was hoping it'd come in time for the period im on now, but i doubt it, and that makes me sad. im still excited though!

if your at college, stop by the infirmary -- they should be able to supply you with a couple weeks worth of pills. (that happend to a friend of mine).

yeah, the same thing happened to a friend of mine, but they charge $$, which i cant really spare at the moment. i get my pills for free from pp

i think you won't turn purple or grow wings, but you won't be protected from pregnancy, and may have some wierd spotting or such.

Just use a condoms or abstinance or something while you're not taking the pills, and for the first 7 days of your new pack (which you can start whenever you get it). No worries.

smallstar is right. I work for pp and if you miss more than two pills in a row, you do need to start over again, which means start when your period does and use a backup method for one week. I know that my particular clinic does something called a "transient pill sale", though, and your college-local pp might as well. if you go in, they can call your home clnic and verify your Rx so they can give you, like, ONE pack of pills to hold you over. call your college-local clinic to find out. It's a way better option than being on no method at all, even for a little bit.

yes, you can-- just be sure to use a backup method for TWO weeks instead of one if you're not re-starting when you're on your period.
