so i spoke to my gyn and had to make an appt for feb 7th for cryotherapy(?) to rid me of those icky hpv cells. i was just wondering if any of you girls have any information about this. he suggested that i take some sort of pain killer before hand..now how bad will it hurt, will aleve be enough or will i need something stronger. and also, if any of you know, how long should i wait after that to have sex...i was looking foward to a nice valentines day and im hoping my silly vagina doesnt ruin it ;) thank you in advance<3

i'm not a member here but i saw no one else had replied...
i've had this done and while the procedure itself was not too bad (some strong cramping and a mild burning type sensation), i was cramping pretty badly afterward. i took some tylenol beforehand and my doc recommended aleve for later. i went ahead and took the rest of the day off (work/school) and stayed home. post procedure recommended no insertion for 2 months, although that may vary from doctor to doctor. all in all it wasn't too bad, more uncomfortable than anything. hope that helps, and if it's too late sorry.
