Hi, ladies and gents.

I visited my mother this weekend, and was on my period. All she had are those tampons that are supposed to make your period smell better (as if it was so horrible we needed this, but I digress).

Now my poor vagina feels off. Not itchy, not painful, but the delicate ecosystem that is my cunt has been upset. I already ingest huge amounts of yogurt. Are there any other pH restoring treatments out there? Has anyone else had this experience?

I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you, but you might also try [livejournal.com profile] naturalmed. The tend to be really good for this kind of stuff.

you could try and add some vinigar to your bath water... that always helps me.

i understand what you mean. i REALLY DISLIKE those.

you might not have anything to worry about yet. i would wait to start the more invasive-type stuff until you have signs of an infection, or you might start one off. i would just stick with the youghurt and be extra nice to your vadgie for a couple days. they're pretty resiliant little buggers.

ugh. i went to germany a few years ago and didn't realize until too late that i was going to have my period while i was there. i went to get tampons in the airport and i didnt' realize they were scented. they smelled so sickly sweet and made my whole suitcase smell. yuck. and my vagina felt like you were saying...just kind of off. for me it didn't progress into anything more, and i hope it doesn't for you either. i didn't have sex for a couple of weeks, and i think that helped a little bit. good luck.

bu-ut... menstruation doesn't smell if you're using any kind of tampon. at all. pads can get funky, but that's natural.

ew.

sorry i can't help.
