Feb. 8th, 2004 02:49 pmI've been taking Marvelon for almost 3 years now. The past few months I've found that I'm spotting a lot between cycles when previously I never had. To me, this probably means that Marvelon is not the pill for me any longer. (I've lost around 70lbs during this time so it stands to reason that the same pill may not be right for me anymore, I'd think). I'm planning to go to the doctor after this period is done (since I expect they'll want to do a pap smear and generally prefer not to do that during one's period) but in the meanwhile, I was wondering - in terms of preventing pregnancy, is just the pill still enough, even tho I'm spotting? It wouldn't be tragic if I got pregnant, altho my husband and I have only been married since the end of September and were hoping to wait a little longer. :)
