missing period during/after illness?

I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm curious - I've had bronchitis for nearly 2 months and I'm just now getting over it. I was thinking today and realized I haven't had a period since the beginning of november. Is it normal to skip periods when you're sick - this many periods?! No chance of pregnancy and the only meds I've been taking are the usual over the counter nyquil/cold and flu tablets. Thanks!

Venting. A *HUGE* submission was completed at work this week...such a gigantic weight off my shoulders...and I booked a lengthy day at the spa with my sister to relax and celebrate. OF COURSE today would be the day that my period gets here. Don't want to deal with the cramps and the awkwardness of this at the spa. Screw you body.
