So I've been seeing this new guy, and I feel like sex might be in the not-too-distant future. I've only had one sexual partner before, and I just kind of took his word that he had gotten tested and was STD free. (I was a virgin, and he took my word about that too.) I had gotten tested about 2 weeks after starting to have sex with him and nothing came up. We always used condoms.

Now, however, I would like both the new guy and myself to get tested before we proceed with our relationship; is there a place to do this together? I don't know how people usually do this. I had been going to planned parenthood under the family pact plan, but I assume he wouldn't be able to go to planned parenthood since he has insurance from his job.

Does anyone know of quick places to go together? We're in the south bay area, california. Thanks.

UTI Cause

Hi everyone, I'm just hoping for a little peace of mind here. I've had a few UTI's in the past, mainly occuring after a lot of sex, so I began the trick of peeing before and after and that seemed to keep everything good. Then over this last weekend my boyfriend and I went away and had a wonderful time but then cut to monday morning and I'm in UTI hell. Went to the doctor, got antibiotics and cranberry for the symptoms but I'm getting paranoid now about what caused it. I hate not knowing because I want to know how to make sure it doesn't happen again. The only thing I can think is that even though I did still pee before and after sex, while we were having it I did very much feel desperate for the bathroom again. So could that be why? Needing the bathroom while having sex and ignoring it?

Less of a practical question and more a theoretical one this time! (My school is doing a presentation on which lubes are safe with which materials on the quad, and I'm helping to discuss/demonstrate the topic; I'm not sure why this occurred to me, but it did.) I know all oil-based lubes aren't condom-safe, but would olive oil encourage yeast infections/other health problems if used vaginally/around the vulva area? I Googled, but I'm getting some conflicting reports and personal accounts.

Hi friends :) my boyfriend and I are long distance so for birth control, I just use a diaphragm with spermicidal gel. I last saw him about two months ago and for spermicide, we used Ortho Options Gynol II (this) which, as I heard from a few sources, is the best. The only thing is that I THINK I'm allergic to it. Every time we used it, after sex my vagina was so painfully itchy, I thought I was going to die. It was itchy inside and around the entrance, but nowhere else. It even lasted a couple of days after I left. It didn't really burn when I peed, but it wasn't that... comfortable. No weird smells or anything. The symptoms eventually went away on their own. I'm seeing him again in two weeks and I'd like for us to have normal sex and honestly, all of this pain really wasn't worth it and we hate condoms so I'd like to continue using the diaphragm for now. I was wondering if a) this sounds like an allergic reaction, b) if not an allergic reaction, what else it might have been, and c) a possible better alternative?

Thank you!

So...after buying my Lelo Mia, I'm interested in maybe getting another Lelo for penetration, and I'm not sure whether the Gigi or the Liv would be a better choice/what the real difference is? I'm a little nervous about the size of the Gigi, and if it'd hurt (never had sex), but it's curved differently...I'd like to stick with Lelo, I think, mostly because I like to use Amazon, and I live with other people/ trust the brand. Any suggestions/thoughts to help me decide? I found them both within the same 50-55$ price range.
