My last period was November 12th and I assume that I am somewhat late at this point. I haven't had a 'regular' cycle since I stopped taking Yasmin in early August, but my period has come and gone without fail roughly every four weeks. I'm wondering if stress could possibly be the cause of delay? Not sexually active.

I've seen people here mentioning parsley tea as a way to induce your period. Is this something you can buy in a shop? Is eating parsley just as effective? Stupid I know, but I really don't want my period to arrive Christmas moring :(

Hello VP!

I think I know the answer to this, but I'd like to double check. Better safe than sorry!

I live in the Midwest (Central Standard Time) and take my birth control pill (TriNessa, an Ortho Tri-Cyclen generic) at 8:30 AM. Well, I'll be hopping on a plane and flying out to the east coast (Eastern Standard Time) later today, and they're an hour ahead. Does this mean I should change my pill time to 7:30 AM for the extent of my trip?

I'll be staying with my boyfriend and visiting his family for Christmas and since we're in a long distance relationship and don't get to see each other very often, I anticipate much, ahem, holiday celebrating. So I'd really like to make sure I'm protected! :)

Thanks VP, and Happy December Holiday(s) if you celebrate any of them!

I woke up today with pain in my clitoris hood. The right side of it is swollen and inflamed and in pain and I also have a clear mucous like discharge. It hurts when I walk and sit in certain poistions.

I'm not sexually active at the moment or for the past three years but I tend to get frequent yeasties. My last one was last month.

Does anyone know what the cause of this is?

I'm kind of worried/anxious right now.

In August I had a laparoscopy done because I had an endometrial cyst on my left ovary. Before this, I was having weird sensations in that area -- where my left ovary is.

The sensation is EXACTLY like being on a roller coaster. It feels like my stomach drops or flip flops, but not my whole stomach -- just the area where my left ovary is. So it was doing this off and on for a few months until they found the cyst on CT scan.

Now I'm worried because I'm having that sensation again, and I JUST had the laparoscopy in August 2011. I couldn't be getting another endometrioma already, could I?

I also noticed it does not happen as much when I sit, but happens more so when I am standing or walking around.

I don't know if it's a coincidence that it started the day after I tried to run again. Before I had the surgery, I was really into running and would run on the treadmill. Well, two days ago I started running, but only mildly to start, only walking and running off and on for 25 minutes. Well, the next day and today I've had that weird sensation. I don't know if the running is a coincidence to this feeling happening or what, but it's definitely my ovary or around that area causing this sensation and it's starting to worry me again. It's also upsetting because I'd like to try to get into shape again and really can't with this sensation happening and not knowing what's causing it.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this sensation or any kind of sensation who has had endometriosis or before they found out they had an endometrioma cyst? Any thoughts or ideas on what this could be?

If this continues to happen, I am calling my gyn and asking for an ultrasound. The last thing I want is another endometrioma cyst. :-(

Thanks!

Now this might be tmi, but I'm not sure if this a normal thing for vaginal muscles. I use a menstrual cup, and when it doesn't open up completely, I can expand those muscles so that my vagina fills up like a balloon. If I do this and put a finger in my vagina it feels like a mini balloon- the kind to make balloon animals out of. I have stubborn belly fat, and when I do this the fat kind of bunches up all in one place in my abdomen. I can then expel all the air out when I want. Not everyone can do this right? I feel kinda weird XP. I think I remember reading somewhere that there was a woman who could stop her period because she had such great control of her muscles, but I'm not sure if I remember this correctly.

I wish I knew what was going on with my body...I gave birth to my second son on October 30th. I then bled for about 3 weeks, stopped for a few days, started again for a few days, then stopped for a week. Then I got what felt like my first postpartum period (I am exclusively breastfeeding, though with my first son I also got my period back basically right away, so this was unsurprising). I had no real cramps but it was heavy for the first few days and then tapered off at about 6 days. That was 2 weeks ago. I just started bleeding again 2 days ago, and it started out as spotting, and now is like a very, very light period - I need a tampon, but I feel no cramps and it's quite light flow. Now, I know stress can mess with your cycles, and so can nursing, but I was pretty sure stress would cause a late period, not an early one. (I mention stress because I just spent 3 days in the hospital with my 7 week old who had meningitis, but is now thank God, just fine).
I just want to know what the hell is going on. I had a really regular period after my first son was born, around ever 30-32 days. I was hoping to go back to my regular cycle, but barring that, I want to know if this is normal! I have an appointment with my doctor, but not for another 3 weeks. Is there a reason for me to see a doctor sooner, or can this wait? I wish there were a way to make this damn bleeding go away!
