Hi everyone! Well, I have an embarrassing thing to ask. I'm one of those people easily embarrassed and I find that masturbating is very embarrassing too. I've had sex with one guy, horrible experience. Well, I've recently been trying to masturbate since I've never gotten off. But the problem is I can't find that pleasure spot. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or if I'm just not in the mood or I'm too nervous and it's an emotional thing. I'm thinking I should go to my gyno and ask but I want to save that for a last resort. Anyone have any tips or ideas?

Hey guys,
I was wondering if its normal to be late or even skip a period the first month on nuvaring. I was previously on norinyl 1+35 with no real incident. According to the pamphlet that I received with my nuvaring, I could switch from my previous bc to nuvaring without being unprotected any days (even my doctor told me this). Currently I've been off my ring for 2 whole days (today would be the third), with minor cramping, when I usually would have my period on my second off day (while on the pill). I took my ring out late (no more than 2 hours) but from what i understood, that would not have affected my protection. I have taken two pregnancy tests, one yesterday and one this morning first thing, and they both were negative. Is this normal or should I be concerned of pregnancy?

Ok, so, I've been taking Levlen ED for 2 packets. I did something I truly regret now - skipping the placebo pills and moving right on to the second packet. Why do I regret it? I've been bleeding for approximately 16 days and experiencing painful cramps, which appear to worsen after I ahem, become aroused.

I take my pill in the morning and have never missed one and the bleeding is like, 90% gone until sometime in the evening... which is annoying because it's really interfering with my sex life - also, is it normal for the pill to reduce your libido and make you experience a lack of sensation during sex, etc?

Anyway, I'm fed up with the bleeding and wanting to know how to stop it. I'm due to start the first placebo pill next Monday, and I'm wondering what to expect in terms of more bleeding. I really don't want to have breakthrough bleeding for another few weeks, as I'm going on holiday with my boyfriend (10th-14th of December), my birthday (16th of December) is coming up and I really don't want to have to deal with any more bleeding.

Any advice would be helpful.

Hi there, just thought I'd post an update to this post.

I went to the clinic this morning and spoke to a nurse who took a list of all my symptoms and was concerned that my IUD may be expelling. She took a pregnancy test (negative!) and then tested for a UTI and then got a doctor to come and examine me for signs of expulsion.

The doctor was the person who had fitted me with the IUD initially. She said she couldn't see any signs of expulsion right now but if the pain continued I was to go back. She swabbed me for BV and chlamydia and I'm expecting results in a couple of days.

Thanks for the feedback on the initial post, it was reassuring until I got medical attention today!

I get terrible bloating for the two weeks before my period and a few days into each period every month and it's very noticeable since I am naturally very thin. Basically, my tummy looks distended and almost 3-4 months pregnant for half my cycle. Is there anything I can do to reduce bloating?

I drink a ton of water throughout my cycle, so that's not it, and I eat a diet high in fiber and low on processed foods. I am not on any hormonal birth control.

Thanks, all!
