hi, I'm sorry that this isn't vagina related, but phallicpregunta looks pretty dead and it still greatly concerns MY vagina (heh), so I thought I'd ask, since the quality of information here is always top notch.

I'm fairly certain my boyfriend has sustained some minor damage to his suspensory ligament.  we had sex on tuesday night, and he said he immediately noticed some pain around the base of his penis afterward.  what strikes me as odd is that we weren't even remotely rough and I still have no idea what could have caused it.  background information: he's 25, and normally has (please excuse the descriptiveness :P) very robust, thick, rigid, straight erections with an upward angle that come on extremely easily and last and last.  also worth noting: we're calling the urologist tomorrow, but I wanted to see if this place could offer any experience that we might be able to share with him too.

continuing on... the next day, throughout the day, he was completely unable to get an erection more than halfway, and it just pointed downward.  he described a constant ache at the base of his penis all day.

the day after that, he was able to get an erection, but it curved to the right and still didn't attain its normal fullness and seems like it hurt too much to maintain.  the base of his penis still ached for a while after he went flaccid again.

today we were relieved that he woke up with an erection again, as is normal for him.  he is able to achieve an erection and maintain it for longer, and the pain doesn't last as long after becoming flaccid again.  it's not 100% full and thick and rigid as it was, but it's shown MASSIVE improvement over the last few days.

much to my dismay, he didn't tell me anything was physically wrong for the first day and a half because he was terrified.  my first suggestion was to ice it, which he's been doing on and off since last night, though naturally I wish he'd told me sooner :|  he's also been taking ibuprofen and relaxing as much as he can.  I hope this is appropriate for his situation.

I've scoured the internet and I've come up with very little in the way of non-catastrophic, minor ligament damage and its subsequent healing.  I'm hoping beyond hope that it's extremely minor damage and that he'll make a full recovery soon, as his current progress is suggesting.  if anyone here has had any experience with this sort of thing and might have any advice, PLEASE let me know.

thanks so much in advance, you peeps are a constant source of amazing information and general goodness :)

Good evening ladies! I would appreciate some reassurance. I was on a 5-day zpack for a bad sinus infection 7+ days ago (when I finished it). I have been on Yasmin for 3 year and have taken it every day on time and have not missed it at all. My boyfriend came over tonight after being away for 6 months so of course we had an intimate evening. He tried pulling out in time but didn't make it. I would just like some reassurance that I'll be ok and shouldn't worry about the antibiotics affecting my birth control. I have been in this situation before and everything was fine, but I think I just need some positive advice right now. Thank you all so much.

this question isn't really about the vag, but it is about PIV so I guess it isn't not about it either

How long my bf lasts during PIV varies, but generally it's around 5 minutes.  I would like for it to last a bit longer, so I asked him if we can try and he agreed.  I said we should try to double it, but if possible work toward 20 min.  He said that's way too long.  Is 20 minutes an unreasonable amount of time for PIV to last?

Two days ago I found a small bump on my inner labia, a few centimeters below my urethra. I was feeling it when I urinated, and also just from sitting down. It was really really small, and hard, and it hurt when I touched it. I felt that it might would come off it I rubbed it, but it hurt to bad to do so, so I used my fingernails and just kind of pinched it off. It was clear and like hard gel. I pinched it with tweezers, expecting it to be like a pimple and have fluid in it, but it didn't. It was solid almost. The place where it was just as a tiny little discoloration now and isn't painful at all. What could that have been?

I'm really confused...

Cut for possibly irrelivent history chatter... )

So, I started my period on the 16th and it lasted through to the 22nd, was a fairly normal period if not a bit shorter/lighter than normal, but it was my first period that I used my menstrual cup (which I LOVE!! and had no real issues with at all) so maybe it just seemed lighter. Oh, I did have a YI about a week before my period, but I treated and it seems to have cleared up just fine. Now, tomorrow will be 2 weeks since my period started and today I go to the bathroom and wipe and to my surprise, it looks like I'm starting my period all over again! I guess it's just spotting since it's not really a flow and it is not bright red (more the rusty/brick color) but enough that it got on my underwear... I'm confused... I have never had spotting between periods before and the only time I have had periods this close together was my first few periods after giving birth the first time.

Any ideas on why I'm bleeding now? I REALLY doubt I'm pregnant since we're actively preventing and haven't had any slip ups or accidents recently. I am just confused as to why this would come up now...

 o hai!

I'm looking into taking omega-3 fish oil pills on a daily basis just to maintain good health and the addition of essential fatty acids.  On the bottle it says that if you are taking any medications you should consult your doctor before use.  Has anyone taken these pills? They're over the counter ones in the supplement aisle if anyone has never heard of them.  I just wanted so input of experiences while taking them on HBC.  I'm going to see my dr. in a few months, and I don't want them going bad if I have to wait that long to talk to her.

Thanks!

So, this question is for a friend. She recently bought a vibrating dildo that's similar in length and girth to her boyfriend's penis. As she tells it, though she uses it "tamely" and with lots of lube, she still gets some bleeding, which is also the case with her boyfriend. Are there any recommendations that you all can give for me to pass along? Aside from getting another vibrator or dildo (which would solve that problem), how can she experience less bleeding during sex? Thanks so much in advance for any advice or suggestions.

ETA A little bit of extra information as prompted for by [livejournal.com profile] archangelbeth:

So far as she knows, the bleeding only occurs with penetration, not necessarily orgasm, the bleeding comes from the entry only, she has not tried more shallow penetration to see if this helps, smaller toys don't seem to cause bleeding, her last gyno appointment was a few years ago, but she says they didn't test anything with her cervix, and she is currently on the depo shot.

Hopefully this is allowed here, because it DOES involve my vagina, its just that my vagina isn't the focus of the question.

I've recently gained a new sex partner. We've had PIV sex twice now and both times started off great, good foreplay, and then the moment came.... in five minutes. Not to bash him, because he is great aside from this little issue, but I didn't even have a chance to enjoy the actual sex. I'm not even talking about the orgasm (although that was certainly lacking) I didn't even have a chance to get INTO it before it was over. We literally took longer to get undressed than it to him to get off, and there was no chance for a second round so I was left completely unsatisfied twice in a row. And yes, to be selfish, I NEED my orgasms from PIV sex. Nothing else is the same.

Is there a delicate way to suggest that he make it last longer? I thought about asking him to switch positions when he felt the moment nearing. I've also thought about asking to use condoms, but he needed a little extra help getting it up in the first place. I worry that condoms may make it difficult for him to stay erect. Anything other suggestions? Leave it alone? Suck it up? Find someone else? (Kidding, but I have no idea how to approach this!)

I've been sick all week with diarrhoea (straight in with the tmi :) ) and I have been taking the pill as religiously as ever. I noticed today that my vaginal discharge was really stiff like I had ovulated (does diarrhoea make the pill stop working? Thought it was just vomiting). The last time I had sex with bf was last night and I know sperm can live for a few hours (days?) in the woman's body. I realised all this this evening so the first chance I'll get to see a doctor is tomorrow morning. Do I need to go get the morning after pill? And also, since I still have diarrhoea, will it stay in my body long enough to be absorbed?
