I posted here about taking antibiotics (which I stopped almost a week ago). I am stacking my packs, but I noticed that before I even started my new pack, I started to have brown discharge. This has been going on since Saturday (which was the last day of my previous pack of HBC). I noticed today that the brownish discharge has developed into reddish blood, like I would get on my withdrawal week.

I have also been taking Dayquil and Sudafed for a cold that I developed last week, so I was wondering if what I am experiencing is breakthrough bleeding (the last time I stacked, it was basically all brownish discharge) or not. I have been on the pill since the beginning of January, so my body may not be fully adjusted to the pills or not, but I was just wondering if I can be sure that my pills are still working and I am just experiencing breakthrough bleeding...I didn't know if it was supposed to be red or not.

I am also waiting 7 days after the antibiotics I took were supposed to clear out of my system, and from what I have read, cold medicine does NOT affect HBC, so I am just curious as to what you guys think is going on here...I just want to be fully protected the next time I have sex. The question is, will I be? Being sick and this bleeding have got me into a funk.

Two questions if I may.

1: I came off the depo last year, I was due it on 25th Nov, so that's when it ran out.
I stopped it as we discovered that progesterones are seriously, seriously bad for a medical condition I have. Like may be what put me in a wheelchair bsd. I was on depo for almost 8 yrs. My periods haven't restarted yet.
My question is, since progesterone is a hormone, not a made up chemical, I'm guessing it exists in the body naturally.
Which part of the cycle is it going to be highest in?
I think Oestrogen makes the periods? Sorry I'm so clueless as the original plan was hormonal bc until sterilisation so I never bothered learning about cycles.
I need to know when progesterones will be in my body so that I can take csre to not do myself serious injuries.

2: My bladder is dropped slightly out of place. This causes a mild drip incontinence.
I know when my periods come back, I can use a cup and still swim, but I wear pads for the drip incontinence and obviously there's no stopping it.
I really, really want to start swimming again though... what can I do?

TIA!

So, I have been using the NuvaRing since august now, and it's always acted a little funny. Weird discharge and such. But this month i'd stacked for the second time now and I had to keep my first ring in almost the full four weeks. I normally only keep it in three, then switch. And now I've been having strange tannish pink discharge that is reallllllllly thick, but not streatchy like ov cm. I didn't have any spotting or anything with the first ring this time.

I'm currently sexually active.
I've only slept with my one boyfriend and he's STD and infection free. Doesn't do drugs, drink, smoke or sleep around and is in general good health.
I have pcos (polycystic ovarian syndrome)

Helps? :(

As I've gotten older, I think my period has changed.  It's become more regular (although this could simply be because I've learned how to track it more precisely), I've started passing blood clots when I never had before, etc.

However, apparently the stabilizing of my period has brought on a new PMS symptom: mood swings.

Perhaps 2 or 3 days after ovulation, I get extremely volatile.  I get irrationally angry and upset over little things...or sometimes over absolutely nothing at all.

I'm sure this is nothing new in the grand scheme of things...but it's new to me.

I guess I want to ask how other people who this particular symptom deal with it.  I just end up making it worse for myself.  I know I'm being irrational, and I try to tell myself that, but it only serves to tick me off even more and compound the situation.

Thanks in advance for any help!

In January, I wrote here about possible Herpes II.

First I had a few red bumps on the left side of my labia (sorry.. I need to study my anatomy names...) which then spread within a few days to my right side and to my anal area. At first they didn't especially hurt. I did have itching on my clitoris (had some bumps on there), painful urination (that felt better with the more water I drank), and watery discharge. Eventually it started to itch and while the bumps themselves didn't hurt, my skin was sensitive (like when you have the flu) around the area and on my thighs. The bumps kinda filled with puss and when I wiped them with a cottonball soaked in tea tree oil, they instantly broke and bled a bit. They never crusted over with yellow stuff. Just your basic scabs. The skin sensitivity was still there but everything healed within 2 weeks and I haven't had it since.

A few days after getting the bumps, I went to the doctor who did a skin test but since the bumps were not wet, it would be negative results. I got a blood test and later showed I had Type 1 (which I knew about) but no Type 2. I came back one month later for another blood test specifically for Type 2. Came back, negative result.

I started to think what it could have been. Maybe a bad yeast infection? Type 1 occurring down there, which might explain its rather mild symptoms. But recently, I thought that maybe it was HPV. My symptoms have all gone since then, but I wonder now. I know to really know you need a test but does anyone have any insight?

Another thing, I'm on the pill (something like Ortho-tricylen) and this time I only had an extremely light period (mostly brown and using tampons for one day, no cramps). This never happened to me on the pill. I have been going through a lot of stress (epic break-up, changing jobs, money issues, etc), so I guess I'm asking if something like this is normal, even without stress? Having a very light period or no period at all while on the pill?

Lastly, I've been having heavy discharge. It's pastel yellowish and goopey. No cottage cheese or white. Just yellowish-white (eggshell?? haha) and maybe once a day it just comes out. I do have slight itching but it might be due to the amount, heat, and sitting there all day without bathroom breaks. Is this maybe a result of missing a period? I just have a lot of gooey discharge coming out. I figured if it was still there come Monday, I would go visit my doctor.

Any advice or comments would help! Thank you VP!

after finally (crossing my fingers) beating my vag problems, my bum isnt too happy! last night i had a panic attack (and i usually do, and i am getting treated!) and took a shower to calm down. i went back into my room just in my towel and layed down and fell asleep in my towel, still. i woke up naked but laying on the towel. i was in the shower this morning and was cleanin' up and it felt like i had to PEEL my cheeks apart! and it was all red and very sore. do you think it was just the moisture form the towel/way i slept? i also had alot of diarrhea last night, and have been having some type of itch AT my anus when i wipe, but thats been subsiding. ijust put some neosporin and coritsone on the crack to help it to recoop and look better! it feels alright right now, but anyone have any ideas what happened? i was so worried!

oh and it doesn't itch, so i dont think a YI is the problem! (plus the diflucan wouldve killed it, especially since the itch was prior to my current problem!)
