I'm having a pregnancy freakout that I'm pretty sure is mostly ridiculous, but I'm a hypochondriac and really need some reassurance or something... this is really stressing me out.

I'm on Tri-Sprintec. My period isn't yet late - it should be starting around now, or within the next couple days - but I'm currently experiencing some "symptoms" of pregnancy that I very well may be imagining due to the stress and paranoia. I'm also not getting the slight cramping that I usually (but not always) get right before my period. My breasts are slightly larger than usual, which I don't think I'm imagining since my boyfriend pointed that out. It seems that many of the typical symptoms of pregnancy (slightly swollen breasts etc) are often premenstrual symptoms as well, so it's hard to be sure about anything.

I haven't missed any pills, but the reason I'm worrying is because when I started my current pack last month, I was around 7 or 8 hours late in taking my first pill. I was still bleeding from my last period when I started the new pill, so it seems unlikely that my ovaries had "woken up" yet during that delay, but I'm still stressing... a lot. Otherwise I've been taking my pills every day within a 1 or 2 hour window.

I also don't have sex extremely often, maybe 3-4 times a month. We don't use condoms and he ejaculates inside me.

Am I being overly paranoid? I really need to put my mind at ease (and I'm scared as fuck of taking a pregnancy test) because I have had stress physically delay my period before, which just makes things worse... it feels ridiculous to be this worried when my period isn't even late yet, but I can't help it.

Hi all,
I am considering getting the HPV vaccine, however, I'm now 27 so it's likely my insurance won't cover it.  (Still have to do some research on that, I have Harvard Pilgrim insurance currently).  I was wondering, though, if anyone knew of a newer HPV vaccine coming down the pike.  Googling "new hpv vaccine" only brought up Cervarix, which only protects against 2 of the strains that Gardasil protects against.

I know some of you keep up with this issue and may have heard of something that's currently in trials.  If there's the possibility of a new vaccine coming out in a few years (that protects against more strains than Gardasil) I may hold off until it comes out, especially if I'm paying out of pocket anyway.

(Also, I am really annoyed that there is an age cutoff for coverage.  What, women over 26 never have new sexual partners or risk getting exposed to different strains?)

Thanks!

I am currently talking Ortho Tri-Cyclen, I've been on the placebo week until today. I am supposed to start my new packet at 10pm tonight. But I will not be able to get to my pharmacy until tomorrow afternoon, but I do have a starter pack of LoSeasonique. I was sexually active last night. Will I be protected if take the new pack of Ortho Tri-Cyclen late afternoon tomorrow? Or would it be safer to just start a new birth control and take the LoSeasonique tonight? If anyone has taken LoSeasonique before I would like to hear about it? Thanks for your help.

Hello!!

Ok, well this is slightly embarrassing. I'm on my period and decided I would try a tampon. I got it in and it felt funny when I sat down - it felt as though I was sitting ON it...like it was pushing up against me. And so, I tried to get it out, but it was stuck. Could not get it out. Wouldn't budge. And then I had a vision of me in a hospital with doctors having to remove the tampon with pliers and I freaked the heck out.

Anyway, I got it out after about an hour of walking around (couldn't sit) and eventually standing in the shower, which made it ease out.

Why did this happen?! It was SO painful! I've been sexually active since I was 18 (I'm 20 now) and my boyfriend lives in the US (I'm in Canada), so we only have sex for a couple weeks every 2 months. I don't know if that was relevant or not.

Oh, and I'm on Alesse.

Why did it get stuck?!

I think I'll stick to pads for the rest of my life in fear of this happening again.

Ok, like I said in other posts I'm very late on my period and am afraid that I won't get it this month. So, I stopped taking the pill for a couple of months until recently I got back on it. I'm a paranoid person over the littlest things and I'm like having high anxiety over this even though I already took a pregnancy test and it was negative. So what do I do if I don't get my period this month, take another test? Or just blame it on the pill? Cause I've read the pill sometimes you can have no periods but should I still be worried..heh. I've been having headaches, stomach pains ( Even though I also have Crohns) kinda dariehha,I've been feeling kinda lightheaded today..is that because I'm worrying myself to death. I dunno why since I already took a test.

Backstory: So I've been on Alesse for about 2 years now, but about 4 months ago i switched to a different pill (i cant remember the name) and then two months later switched back to alesse after having bad cramping and general annoyances. Last month I screwed up towards the end of the month as I lost the birth control pack and so I missed 2 pills and was late on the third. I decided to just go to the next months pack instead of taking a week of no pills (like it advises in the pamphlet).
now to the actual question:
It's midterm time for me and so I've been pretty stressed out for the past week or so, and so I messed up on taking the pills on time a few times (i took 2 the next day both of these times). I was having sex with my boyfriend friday and we noticed a tiny bit of blood, then a bit more blood on saturday morning which seemed like the start of my period to me. I decided to start the week off pills because I read in the pamphlet that you are protected for these seven days as long as youve had 21 active pills. Now I'm really worried because today I didn''t get my period, nor was there any blood at all.
I know I messed up really badly on this because then I realised that I hadnt actually had  21 active pills because I'd missed 2 the month before.
Is there any chance the period blood could have been spotting? Or is it possible to stop a period half way if I got pregnant  (my boyfriend always pulls out but we don't use condoms)?
I'm just really confused as to what this could mean. Also, I'm not sure when I should do with regards to starting the next pack, I figured that I should use another means of protection until I'd taken 7 pills.
Any help would be great! Thanks a lot and sorry that this was probably really confusing.
