Hi, I just joined this morning, but I often lurk around here. I expect to be making a rather large post soon, but something more urgent has come to my attention...

First off, let me just say, I most likely have the world's most sensitive vagina. Since I was a little girl it's been nothing but trouble for me and most of the time I just scream and say I deserve a sex change.

Getting Mirena did not help this fact, but that's another story. (maybe I'm possibly allergic to it?)

Anyway, my problem now is, I think I may be allergic to my fiance's sperm, if it's possible. Since I have had the Mirena IUD, we do not use condoms and I use plenty of lube, which I am positive I am not allergic to.

But I let him finish inside of me when he feels comfortable (most of the time he doesn't feel comfortable and thinks that by some freak accident I'll end up pregnant).

Every single time he does, it feels like my vagina is going to die. Aside from the usual tiny cuts I get that cause burning, it's like my girly bits are on FIRE inside and out, and it usually bring a tear or two until I go to bed. And it ends up hurting into the next day.

Also, I've noticed when he finished on my skin, my skin gets really red and irritated. It never itches, but it certainly doesn't like it.

And also, I'm not sure if this is related to his sperm, but once after I gave him oral, about 30 minutes after my whole mouth swelled up on the inside...

I'm not sure, but is it possible to be allergic to sperm? If so, could this be an obstacle when I want to become pregnant? He's the only partner I've ever experienced this with...

and if it helps, we've both been tested, STD free.

My boyfriend and I have been having sex for about a year and a half. We have always used condoms. I have been receiving depo provera shots (2) for the past 5 months. Within the past month, we have started having sex without condom use. I really can't tell a difference but my guy can so woohoo! They problem is that I bleed after sex without a condom. I have rarely bled with a condom, maybe once or twice ever. Since we switched to not using condoms, I've bled nearly every time. It's not a lot of blood but definite spotting. We use lube so I'm pretty positive it's not from the friction. Why? Could his ejaculation be chemically mixing with my bits and making me bleed?

Also,

I would really like to start switching it up in bed. We basically always have little foreplay, missionary, and then fall asleep. I would really like to try some new positions or something. My guy is happy with our routine but I'm getting bored. What is the best way to suggest changes? We are really close but don't really talk about sex until we are in the middle of doing it. I would like to maybe look at some sex positions online with him to find something new or maybe video taping ourselves, especially for our Valentine's Day celebration tonight. Oh and a vibrator for my pleasure. How could I go about doing this?

Thank you ladies!

I'm sure this has been asked a million times before, but I couldn't fine quite the information that I needed.

I went to the doctor complaining of bad cramps a few months ago, and she said that I could either try birth control (pills, I assume?) or continue to deal with it using massive amounts of advil/tylenol and different dietary things (I get low blood pressure and pass out after I shower becasue I have orthostatic hypotension like lots of teenage kids, so she said to eat more salt).  My mom takes some kind of non-narcotic but damn strong pain killer, but she never offered that to me.

I put off the bc before, but I'm tired of cramps.  So VP, does hormonal birth control reduce cramps for you?  A few other questions: do they normally do a pelvic exam before giving you bc?  The doctor is an endochronologist I see for diabetes care, I don't know if that would matter... Ahh...anything I should ask when I go in, or things I need to consider?  I really don't mind taking pills or shots or any of that, so that's not really an issue.   The doctor said that she won't prescribe me a low estrogen pill, because they're bad? and I don't absorb calcium well already, and apparently the estrogen helps?  Do any of you know what she was talking about here? I have no idea...

HELP, I'm confused and in totally new territory.

So I'm pretty sure I have a yeast infection. I was on a two week dose of some sort of medicine (augmentin, I think) and I got it from my pediatrician (I'm 17). She refused to give me a script for diflucan, so I made do with eating lots of yogurt. I got sick of taking the pills about halfway through, so I stopped taking them. I continued to eat the yogurt off and on, but now I think I have a yeast infection. It started about 3 days ago and I have all the symptoms, except for my discharge doesn't necessarily smell like baking bread, but it doesn't smell like fish either. So I used monistat cream for two days before I could actually get a kit. I meant to get the three-day kit, but I accidentally picked up a one dose thing. I just put that in and put some more cream on. Now, my question is: do I have to do anything else? Is it ok if I get up and walk around, because I think I can feel it oozing out down there and I don't want to mess anything up. This is the first time I've had this problem, and my mom's in Peru, so I'm kind of walking around blindly. Help, please?

So, I have read about the different blood tests that are available for detecting antibodies to the oral and genital herpes viruses. From my understanding, the more widely available tests don't give the most conclusive results and can sometimes give false positives/negatives, and then there are other less available tests that are more highly accurate.

A week or so ago, a situation came up where I felt it would be necessary for me to get tested for the virus, though I have never experienced an outbreak (and I would like to know my status either way).

So, I went to the doctor - and mentioned that I wanted to be tested for HSV-2. She looked at me strangely and asked "why", I told her the situation, and she said:

"Well, we need to take a sample from a present sore in order to test for the virus. There is no such thing as a blood tests that tests for the HSV-2 virus."

I was baffled. I had seen countless entires in this community, and other information on the web that documented this blood test in detail. So I persisted. "It's my understand from doing personal research and through other people who have told me about it that XYZ"

And she said, very rudely I might add, "Whoever gave you that information was lying. There is no such thing as a blood test that tests for antibodies to HSV-1 or HSV-2"

So I said "Oh, do you mean that this test isn't available in Canada or...?"

"No, there is no such thing as that test, I have no idea what you are talking about"

Assuming I was wrong, I came home feeling a little confused and irritated, and decided to get back on the internet and do some more research. And I found PLENTY of information about this test. Am I crazy? Why did this doctor tell me that the test doesn't exist? I called Health Services the next day and complained to the director about my experience because I was rather offended by her in general. The director said she would do some research and inform all of the campus physicians of the issue.

Basically what I want to know is...why did this doctor lie to me? Is it really possible that she has never heard of the test? I feel like it's her job to be informed and not to be rude in situations where she is clearly ill-informed. Or am I crazy; are all of these resources that I've found "fake"?

I am ultra confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated <3
