Delayed Period

Ok so I started antibiotics (Doxycylcline) about 2 - 2 1/2 weeks for my skin. I've been using it along with birth control (YAZ) which I have been on for 1 1/2 years. I am very aware that some antibiotics interfere with birth control, making it less affective so I should use a back up method. During my time of taking these antibiotics, I have had sex once (but without back up method, I was stupid and forgot in the "heat" of the moment) But used Plan B a few hours after, just to be sure (and put condoms in my purse so I wont forget again).

So that is my situation, now here is the problem - my period is delayed. I shouldnt be pregnant, so I dont know what is going on. I googled my problem and found that antibiotics may delay your period, but every thing I read said I may be pregnant but I'm looking for other answers, or explainations? Thanks so much in advance, even just for reading this. I'm kind of paranoid here.

HBC Pills and Contacts

Not vag related exactly but....

I got contacts two years ago and I absolutely cannot wear them for more than six hours. At first, I couldn't figure out why... but then as I was reading the side effects on my birth control label it said something about how women taking birth control pills may have difficulty wearing contact lenses. Um, what? Has anyone had this problem? What do you do about it? I have to put drops in my eyes every few hours just to make them hurt less, but that gets rather irritating if I'm wearing makeup.

Induce Period?

I was wondering if there is a way to induce your period.

Here's my situation. I've been on the Pill for years and years. Before I was on the Pill, my periods were pretty irregular (I would get them every other month). In mid-January, the pharmacy screwed up and I got my pills a week late and I missed the 'window' to start them for the month. So I figured I would just wait for my next period and start them up again. 

I had sex once in February (used a condom). At the end of February, when my period still had not come, I took a pregnancy test just in case. It came out negative. Last week, period still had not come. Took the 2nd test in the pack, negative still. I'm guessing that this is just the irregularity springing up again. 

I've just met someone and I think it might lead somewhere so I want to get back on the Pill ASAP. Is there anything I can do to get it going?

riddle me this... sore tittles!

So my boobs (or, "tittles" as I like to call them) have been sore for about a week now...but

*I'm 80% sure I'm not PMS-ing, normally my boobs arn't this sore when I am. They just swell
*I haven't had sex in several months (5 to be exact, but whos counting!) and am not PG
*I'm NOT on the pill
*I haven't been doing any push-ups or other activities that would make sense


they're sore to the touch and slightly swollen...
Should I be worried? Is there something else i"m missing here?

Vaginal Discharge

So the other day my boyfriend and I were having sex and we noticed that I had some unusual discharge. It was white, a solid color of white, and almost like an uncooked-tofu-consistency. When he rubbed it between his fingers, it broke down, but it was strange and we've never noticed it before. It was inside of me, and on his penis and testicles as well, and the only thing we could think of was that it was discharge. It wasn't like the liquid discharge I typically have; it was sort of like in chunks (BUT not cottage cheese consistency, like I said more like raw tofu).

Anyone have any info on what this might be? I googled it and came up with "yeast infection" but I don't have any swelling or itchiness at all. Is this normal?? D:

Hi,

I am 18 years old and have been sexually active since 15.
I have had sex mannnyyyy times in my life, but since about a couple months ago, it started being REALLY painful at first, when the person first enters me.
I mean i have never had that problem before, ever . But now it is getting worse and worse, and a week ago or so it even bled !!
I really don't know what this means ...
And it can't be an STD, the guy i have been with for a year was a virgin before sleeping with me!!

HELPP

Changing my start day on TriCyclen

I think I already know the answer to this one, but I thought I'd ask here first.

I'm on TriCyclen right now as my sole form of birth control. I have Sunday as my current start day, but I want to change it to Saturday. Do I just start my next pack a day early? Will it mess up its effectiveness at all? I know this would be a no-brainer with a monophasic pill, but as this is triphasic, I don't know if it will affect its effectiveness at all to start the next pack a day early.

I'm guessing it won't be a problem, but if it is, I'd like to know! Thanks in advance.

(I'm still planning to go off of the pill eventually, but for now, I remain on it and can cope with my mild sufferings. Winter seems to make all my side effects so much worse. :P )

cramps after sex

the last few times I've spent weekends with my boyfriend, I've been getting strange cramping after having sex.
They're similar to cramps I get during my period =/ 

I feel paranoid but I'm not sure if I should be worried or not.

My period was due Friday.
It is still not here. My period is consistantly 28 or 30 days. Never 29 or 31. Always either 28 or 30. (I know weird)

I took a pregnancy test on saturday and it was negative. (Dollar Store Test)
I took another one just like 30 minutes ago and that was also negative. (EPT - Digital)

I'm having creamy white discharge sorta like I get around the time I ovulate. So what could possibly be going on if it is indeed not pregnancy?

I don't feel any of my normal pms symptoms at all and I usually get sore boobs, and I swear i grow a cup size before I get it. But nothing this time. &I usually get cramps &Back aches.

I'm just truthfully curious what  could be going on if not pregnancy.
Is there a chance I could still be pregnant?

Skipping Periods

Hey everyone! I'm glad I found this community and am hoping that it can answer my question.
I recently had surgery and the doctor advised me that it would probably be a good idea to skip the placebo pills in my pack and continue on to the next one to avoid my period. Here's the thing. I had already started the inactive pills on Sunday and the doctors appointment was on Tuesday when he told me to do this. I had completely forgotten to ask if it was still okay to 'skip packs' since it usually always takes a few days after the plaebo pills for me to truly start my period. So, like I was saying, I went ahead and started the new active pack on Tuesday. I guess my question is merely, 'was that alright to have done?' Do I need to do anything to regulate my hormones or will that little two day gap even itself out over time? Because I have noticed some very light discharge since then. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the pills I'm on are ortho Tricyclen Lo. Any help would be extrmeely appreciated! :)

Okay, so last Monday (On the second) I started spotting and spotted a full week until yesterday when I started bleeding like full fledged. So, my question is, when do I say my period started? Last monday or yesterday?

Yaz Question

I started taking Yaz about a year and a half ago. I had normal periods on it for a little while and then I started stacking my packs regularly, but when I do that now and even when I don't, my period comes the week AFTER it should. For a little under a year, my period hasn't been the same since. Is it just me or has this happened to any of you girls on Yaz?

So I am 5 [6 tomorrow] days late for my mycycle.com predicted period. I went off the birth control pil in December or November. 35 days after I went off it, I recorded my first normal period on the site on January 1st. Last month, my period came after 32 days on February 2nd. My predicted ovulation day was February 20th. On February 21st my boyfriend and I drank two bottles of wine and played strip "Wii" ha. After the Wii got turned off we aren't sure what happened. I know we had sex. He said he found a condom the next morning with cum in it. However, we can't remember if we had sex for a little before putting the condom on. We just know we woke up at 9am, naked. Which is rare, we almost always take out our contacts and get dressed.

Fast forward... my period was supposed to be here on Friday the 6th. That would've been 32 days. Now I'm on day 37. I wouldn't be so worried except that the first two periods since going off the pill were somewhat regular. I took a home test that was negative. How realistic are false negatives after five days? I don't even feel like I'm going to get my period at this point, but I'm emotional/moody and bloated as hell.

I was thinking of calling the doctor tomorrow to try and get in. I know it takes a while for your cycle to regulate after coming off HBC but this seems odd to me.

What do you think the odds are that I could be pregnant? My boyfriend is freaking out!! I'm not freaking out just yet but I am concerned. This seems out of the ordinary for me....

The article covers what makes up vaginal discharge and discusses the types of bacteria (good and bad) that seem to be pretty common in the vagina.

There's also a bit of talk about women using yogurt and other acidophilus remedies to treat infection and some researchers have found that the type of bacteria in yogurt don't always cling well to vaginal membranes and don't produce as much hydrogen peroxide as other strains. A few studies have looked into using alternative strains of lactobacilli to prevent BV relapse since current go-to remedies (metronidazol and clindamycin) seem to only have about a 60% success rate. (From a study I found here which was also interesting.)

Thought some of you would find this interesting. After reading through the above links and some other digging I've done, I think I'm going to start researching what other types of lactobacilli I can buy capsules of and see if I can't kick these recurrent infections in the ass or, at the very least, make them wait longer before showing up again.

Hydrogen peroxide

I've been reading online about curing BV with hydrogen peroxide? Is this true? Any nasty side effects that I've read (yeast infections) true? Also - does it kill off good bacteria too?
