So, Amazon is having a serious sale on System JO lubricants and my bf wants to pick some up. He told me to do research on it, so I immediately thought of asking you wonderful VPers.
Has anyone had any experience with this brand?
Would you recommend it?

My boyfriend returned from studying abroad in Japan for the last four months. Before he left, we had sex almost every single day and there was rarely any pain. Now, I realize it has been a while since I've had sex, but every time we've had sex since he returned two days ago has left me with pain that lasts for hours! I masturbated while he was gone, inserted a pretty large vibrator, and used tampons no problem. The first time we had sex when he returned didn't hurt at first, it was just a little tight. However, by the end, my entire vulva was swollen and red and burned for a good 12 hours. It was terrible!! I could barely move!!! I felt pretty wet during sex, and my boyfriend didn't notice any dryness. We sometimes do use lube but did not use it that night since we have yet to go buy some.

Yesterday, my poor boyfriend had been getting worked up all day so when he wanted to try again last night I decided to give it a try. This time, the entire time it burned and hurt so badly, and it feels like it is hurting more internally than externally. I even had him just stay still while inside me to see if the pain would subside, but it didn't. And afterward it burned and I noticed a little blood, and again I was very swollen and red.

I'm not sure what is up, I think I'm going to insist on a break for a bit. I don't know if it was a wetness issue or what, but I will definitely have lube on hand just in case. It was just so unbelievably painful and swollen, I didn't even have this much pain when I lost my virginity years ago, and that did hurt quite a bit. Does this sound normal? The swelling also makes me feel like I need to pee constantly because I think it's putting pressure on my urethra? I don't know, I'm definitely going to grab some cranberry juice and such just to make sure I'm not also getting a UTI.

Ugh... Help??

EDIT: We do not use condoms, just thought I'd mention that.

EDIT 2: I forgot to ask, what are some ways to relieve the burning? I tried cold water and a piece of ice (haha) but it didn't really help. Are there some creams or something I can try? I'm hesitant to put Neosporin down there, but I love that stuff, haha.

Hi all. How can you tell the difference between regular back pain and kidney infection pain? I know kidney infections are usually paired with fevers and such, but I know some of you have said you've been treated for kidney infections you weren't aware you had. Thanks for your time.

What do we know about them?

Despite my 2 active pills left, it's looking like there's a fair chance of my withdrawal bleed showing up tomorrow while I'm flying across the country.

I know that putting my cup in early is an option, but really, I'm not a fan of the dry sensation it creates from not letting my cervical fluid get down to the opening; I'd prefer to avoid it if I can. That said, I also have no real desires to either explain about my menstrual cup to TSA or to bleed all over the airplane seat.

Has anyone ever flown with a menstrual cup in carry on luggage? If so, did airport security even comment on it at all?

I have been so dry for the past few weeks, and I have no idea why. What causes it? I'm not on any medications, not on hbc, I haven't been stressed...is there anything else I'm not thinking of? I looked on webmd and all it talked about was menopause. I want to know what is causing it so I can stop it! Or does this just randomly happen for no reason? Is there a possibility it could mean nothing at all? It's just that I have never been this dry before, my boyfriend even commented that I felt dry on the inside. When I do have a bit of discharge it is extremely watery; it's like actual water the way it runs off my hand. Anyways, does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

spotting

Heeello everyone! I'm freaking out a little here and would appreciate any help you can give.

My period ended over a week ago, and since it has ended I've been spotting on and off. This never used to happen, up until it started a few months ago, and it's been getting worse the past few times. The first few times it happened, my period would end and then about two days later I would spot a little for a day or two, and then it would go away. This time my period ended and after about two days I started spotting, and it stopped for a day and then started again and has continued for about three days. It's not really heavy, but it's still weird. I'm not and never have been sexually active, and there haven't been any major changes in my diet, if that makes any difference.

I'm not really sure what's going on, and it's kind of freaking me out because my period has always been really regular and predicatable. I checked the archives but most of the entries on spotting involved some sort of birth control, and I'm not on any. :[ Any help?

The Sasi

Does anyone here own the Sasi vibrator from Babeland?

If you own it (or have used it before), what do you think of it? How would you rate the experience out of 5?

I've read lots of reviews already, but I'm curious to know what you girls think of it.

---

I just ordered mine and now I'm (im)patiently waiting for it to arrive! The price was a bit steep but omg that moving nub just looks... amazing, haha (srsly, just watch the video). Also, it's rechargeable, which is a big plus that will save me money (won't have to buy batteries) and frustration (anyone else's pet peeve their vibrator running out of batteries at the worst possible moment? D:)

I found this in another community and thought it would be helpful here. You can get a free menstrual cup sent to you by filling out a short survey here.

Does anybody here have any experience with natural spermicides? I want to use it as a back up method to the mini pill for a few months while I make up my mind as to whether or not I want and can afford an IUD. I know the mini pill is 99% effective but since time is of such importance I figured the natural spermicide couldn't hurt. BTW the recipes I found consisted of lemon juice and organic aloe vera.

I want to make sure I'm 100% on this, the mini pill is meant to be used without condoms right?

I know you get these questions alot, and I apoligize.

The other night I ended up hooking up with my friend no condom no birth control, no pull out or anything and afterwards I went to the washroom to find I had JUST started my period ( awkward yes, gross yes). I did some research to see when you're the most fertile and stuff, and was wondering what my chances are of becoming pregnant? I know i heard someone that you can or cant get pregnant when you're on your period but I honestly cannot remember for the life of me what end of the spectrum it is. I'm never going to do anything like this again, trust me.

I apoligize for the stupid question and thank you for any help you can give me.

I've googled this and browsed various communities here on Livejournal, but none of them seemed to have that much substantial information about this.

I FINALLY got a Divacup in tonight. Now there's just one thing that has been making me kind of paranoid recently: every time that I've tried to insert it in the past (and tonight), there's been a ton of air that goes right into my vagina from the cup popping at inopportune moments. Now I've read all about how blowing into the vagina during oral sex or what-have-you can cause an embolism... naturally, I would think that all of the air from the suction and popping of the menstrual cup could cause the same?

Can someone try to fill me in on whether or not this is a legitimate fear?

Also, when I got it in, I was a little freaked out from the air issue, and I don't think that I had made much of an effort to position it correctly, because I couldn't urinate with it inside of me. It's like something was... blocked. I eventually pushed hard enough that the cup came out just so that I could pee. I'm a bit discouraged by all of this.

In the past I was always on the thin side of average, and, I would have described my inner labia as very minimal.

I've probly gained about 30-40 lbs in the past few year and my lips seem a lot bigger to me.

It's makes sense but this isn't something I've ever heard of. Anyone else have this experience?
