pregnancy scare before IUD

Wednesday I was mildly nauseous all day, and yesterday and this morning I've had some pretty nasty diarrhea. Based on just that (actually, just based on the nausea), my mom and my boss are convinced that I'm pregnant.

My period started ~2 weeks ago and stopped on time like it should have (to which my mother responded "that don't guarantee anything" - yeah, thanks, I know mom. stop trying to freak me out...)

I took a test wednesday morning anyway (despite it being 'way too early') and it came out negative.

AND... I have an appointment to get a free IUD next tuesday.

Will they do a pregnancy test (and have more accurate results), or should I try to reschedule or what?

I made a post not that long ago saying that I had missed my period, and we all pretty much blamed it on stress.

I decided to not take a test and just wait it out, and I started my period today.

My question is this-

I know you can get your period and still be pregnant, but how likely is it?

HBC and antibiotics and spotting

I know this is a life-long question, but I need some reassurance and I thought I'd turn to this community since everyone is so understanding. So please bear with me, darlings. :)

I was presribed a cloxacillin antibiotic (called Anaclosil in Europe) last Thursday for a scar that got mildly infected. I took the last antibiotic on Sunday - I know I should've taken them all, but I left town for a few days and forgot them at home so then I just stopped taking them because the scar got a lot better in those couple of days (I've recently learned that was a big mistake).

I'm also on the pill, Diane 35. I've been taking regularly for years. As I said, I took my last antibiotic on Sunday and my last Diane pill on Tuesday - I am now in my placebo week, hopefully getting my period tomorrow.

However, today I noticed a bit of spotting, just a few drops. This hasn't happened to me for years so I dont know if it has anything to do with the antibiotics or not.

So what do you reckon? My bf used a condom while I was taking the antibiotics - should we keep that up? I reeeally don't want to if not necessary so I just wanted to double check.

I've read all about inconclusive evident of antibiotics on HBC and someone also told me that clocacilin shouldnt affect the pill ... But is there a problem since I havent taken 7 HBC pills after the last antibiotic (placebo week)?

What should I doooo?

My doctor said the antibiotic doesnt affect the pill, the instructions say that it can, the pharmacists appeared clueless. Please help me out, I wanna have normal sex without freaking out. :)

EDIT: It appears that I'm not spotting, but that my period has started a day early ... I've never had that happen before, but surely that's a good sign? It's not very strong yet, but it's deffo blood ...

Hi, everyone!!

My boyfriend is currently studying abroad in Japan, he will be back in December. Total, we will have been apart four months. Before he left, we were HIGHLY sexually active. We had sex nearly every single day for about a year and a half. I figured that when we were apart we would both be going CRAZY over the lack of sex. However, we rarely mention it, and I never really feel particularly "horny" I guess you could say. Every once and a while I will send him a naughty text but that's pretty much it. I guess this is sorta a good thing, since I figured it would be torture this whole time, haha. Now, when we were together, we had sex a lot, but I was never like super horny, ready to jump him at all times. I guess this could have been due to having sex so often.

So I guess my question is, does this sound normal, or did I always have a low sex drive and not notice it because we were actually having sex every day? I have been on Yasmin since I was about 15 (I'm 21 now), and I feel like I was "horny" a lot more often when I was younger, but I also wasn't having as much sex then. I've always been afraid that my sex drive isn't what it could be since I've been on HBC for a long time. I'm just afraid that we will both be used to not having sex when he gets home and I just won't want it. Our sex life was great before he left, and I'd hate for it to dry up when he gets home. =/ It just seems weird to me that we haven't been wanting sex. We can't do phone or webcam sex either because he is living with a host family and has NO privacy, and neither of us really wants to bother trying with that if we don't really need it.

sorry, I'm home alone on a friday night feeling pretty gross and in pain, so here's another question for ya.

What exercises can I do to help my cramps?
I try not to take medicine unless I absolutely have to, and in the past I've been able to exercise at the gym to help, but I don't have a gym readily available to me right now.

Do any of you exercise to alleviate cramps?

I've been taking Loestrin24 FE for five months now. Like clockworks, my period starts the Friday morning of my forth week of pills (being the third day of placebo pills) each month. Well, today, on the Friday of that forth week, I started getting the usual cramps that occur right at the start of my periods. I was at work, and not being a job that allows me regular opportunities to run to the restroom, I decided to put in a tampon right then because I figured I was probably minutes away from the actual bleeding starting.

So, hours in to my shift, I was in the restroom, removed the tampon, and there was only the slightest bit of blood on the very end of the tampon. Now, approximately 12 hours after I thought my period had started, I still am not noticing any more blood than a tiny spot or so when I remove a tampon.

This is still a withdrawal bleed, right? I mean, is it normal for birth control to occasionally make bleeding that light, or should I be worrying about implantation bleeding and whatnot?

Lack of orgasm + unpleasant reaction to stimuli

Premise: I'm not used to experience orgasm (& it never bothered me too much).
Now, I've recently entered a LDR -I see him about 2-3 days every 2-4 weeks- and he seems to take my lack of orgasm as a comment on his skill. This has brought forth some discussion, after which he's incited me to try to masturbate touching my clitoris.

Problem: I'm 1-not used to this and 2-this gives me a weird feeling, a mix of pleasure (more like excitation) and discomfort. Can anyone help me resolve the problem, or at least understand what's not working properly?

EDIT: I did have orgasms -a few- previously. They just weren't related to anything physical.

i apologize if this is a ridiculous question. i just don't know who to ask or turn to. okay, the other day my friend and i were hanging out. as of now we're just friends, but we like each other and have made out and cuddled in the past. we were just sitting there, watching tv and what-not. we ended up falling asleep together. well, i remember being half asleep and realizing he was fondling me and touching my breasts, butt, etc. i remember silently freaking out but going back to sleep. but i think it continued through the night. and now i have no idea what to do. he's my friend, but i feel so violated. it's one thing to touch someone when you're making out, but touching them when they're sleeping without their consent? i don't think that's right. i have no idea how to bring this up. what should i do??? :( :(

Could someone share some "tips" on how to conceive faster? I've heard some tales of doing it in certain positions, waiting a certain amount of time after menstruation, etc. I was wondering if there's any tricks out there that's worked for any of you.

Yeast Infection --> Infertility?

Heyyy. I've heard that yeast infections left untreated can cause infertility? I looked it up on the internet and got conflicting results, saying it can and it can't. Does anyone know anything about this/know any good sources? How long would it have to go untreated for this to happen?

(for the record, I am treating mine but it's taking a hell of a long time...antibiotics, etc.)

Results on my local PP site and a google search did not prove conclusive. Will PP treat a YI, or, as their name implies, are they really only about the family planning bit?

Your own personal experience will do, as I know not all PPs are the same.
