(Please excuse if this topic has come up before, I couldn't find it in the memories.)

I'm on Seasonale, a combination pill. I know it's okay if you take a pill late once, and I know that normally you should take them within an hour of each other from day to day. Thing is, I've been kind of bad lately and taking them within two hours of each other each day. I haven't had any kind of bleeding. Does anyone know if this is alright? I need to set an alarm on my phone again...that's how I remembered before but I just got a new phone. dur.

Does anyone's insurance cover the Nuvaring? I'm tired of paying full price for it cuz my insurance doesnt cover it and my husband's through work doesnt cover it either unless it's "medically necessary".

I've only been on two types of birth control, the patch, and pill. My doctor took me off the patch because of the greater risks for blood clots, so I got the pill.

I do not like the pill. I found that my sex drive was severely supressed. So.. I found this. I thought it might help others who don't know what to do in this situation.

Also.. there isn't much in the tags to help with this problem.

Okay first off I looked for my answers in previous posts but for some odd reason the links werent working on my computer so sorry if this has been posted a lot before.

FYI I take Yaz. I had my normal symptons and my period last week. I stopped bleeding sometime early sat. I had killer cramps, worse then i do normally during the whole week. But my cramps continued after I stopped bleeding. Its mainly light pain but every once and awhile it gets really bad and its mainly its painful on my left side. On weds I woke up and about 5 minutes after I was in the worst pain I have ever been in, it got to the point i felt like i couldnt move at all because it was only making it worse. Ive also noticed in the past couple of days a higher amount of discharge and its a light to medium yellowish color.

Anyone have any idea whats going on? anything would help and thanks in advance!

Divas (and vagpagers, as this is going to be cross posted)

How long did it take for your periods to go back to normal after getting your paragard inserted?  This is my third period with Paragard, and my periods are back to what I consider "normal".  By "normal" I do mean back to pre-paragard flow and NO CRAMPING, AT ALL.  SWEET.

My other two periods were much heavier than this one, and also pretty crampy.  While i"m not done with this period, I feel like it's probably going to last my average 5 days instead of the 8 or 9 of the last two.  I've had no cramps this entire time.  I'm pretty jazzed!

I just wanted to know for comparison's sake - I feel pretty darn fortunate to not have cramps, or spotting.  I also celebrated my  2nd month with paragard on the 17th.  We're getting along pretty well.  I haven't named her just yet.

Have a great day! :)

Okay. So. Random question, for no other reason except my personal knowledge:

HBC is supposed to "mimic" certain things in your body that happen during pregnancy. I know that is vague, and that it is not the same thing. However, many of the "side effects" of HBC are all things you feel when pregnant. (I also know that the side effects from an ASS LOAD of medications are the same as pregnant symptoms, thats not the point here lol).

Why is it, that when you are pregnant you are so horny, and when you are on HBC you risk, well, not being able to get horny at all?

I just moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, and I was wondering if there are any acceptable sites that I can look at for gynos here. Or recommendations? I don't know where to start looking.

So on Wednesday, I got my period and started OrthoEvra, as I was told it's good to start it on the first day of your period if you've never been on birth control before. I applied the patch and everything was going fine. Thursday morning I got up and there was barely any blood. I usually have really heavy periods that last 4-5 days. And now today, it's almost stopped completely. Is this normal? I'm not concerned so much as confused about where my period went. I feel fine and haven't experienced any of the listed side effects for the patch, and I know I'm not pregnant.

I woke up 2 days ago with a really sore, hard lump on my vagina. It's on the underside of my outer lip, just across from my clitoris. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I had an STI test a few months back and was all clear, so it's not that. Its really, really sore and quite itchy/stingy if it rubs against my pants, but you can't really see anything except redness and the whole area has swelled up. Its like a hard pea under the surface. Any thoughts? It's so sore :(

Hi, everyone. First post.
I had sex last night with this random guy that I met at a bar. I've had sex with other guys in the past, so it's not like I'm new to it or anything.
This guy wasn't particularly well-hung (oh, alcohol), but he was like.. thick, I guess? Not overly thick, but seemingly a little more than normal.
So we were going at it, and I noticed that it was like.. hurting around my opening whenever he pushed in. I kind of stopped thinking about it after a little bit.
When I went to use the bathroom after we'd finished, there was some blood on the toilet paper. I'd been expecting my period, so I didn't really think anything of it.
I went home, passed out.. when I woke up this morning, it was like.. my vag is sore. x.o Mostly down at the bottom part, and on the outside. I guess I've noticed in the past that the little bit of skin there right at the bottom of my vagina or whatever there is a little taut, but do you think it like.. tore or something? Does this happen? Was that like.. magically some little bit of hymen that never got.. broken? Haha, that seems really odd.
I'd put in a tampon last night before I went to bed, and when I took it out this morning, there was only some blood down at the bottom end, and if I hold some TP there, it gets a bit of blood.. it just really doesn't seem like my period. Guh. I don't know. It's frustrating.

I live in the central part of AR and I was wondering if any of you knew of any LGBT friendly doctors in the central AR area (Little Rock, North Little Rock preferably). I pretty much lied to my primary doctor when she asked if I had sex. I've had sex with a female but I'm not really sure how to bring that up and I'm not sure how it will affect my care. I would feel a lot more comfortable if I just knew my doctor is LGBT friendly. I've gone to website to look for a LGBT friendly doctor but it said there weren't any registered LGBT friendly doctors in my state...so...yeah.

Update: Thanks so much to all who replied. I really appreciate it. =]

Hi everyone - long time lurker, first time poster here.

I was wonderig if anyone knows why lower back pain is a common premenstrual symptom? Part of the reason I ask is that I've always had backache before my period (on either side of my spin at the height of the hollows of my back - would that be kidneys?), but lately I've been having the same sort of achey pain at random points in my cycle. Is this just down to bad posture, or could it be a symptom of a untreated UTI?

Thanks - and thanks for this awesome comm!
