So I started vaginally bleeding yesterday. I occasionally have spotting in the middle of my cycle (before I ovulate), so when it started, I thought nothing of it. But I woke up this morning to a full-fleged period and I'm starting to wonder if something's gone amuck downstairs. I started my last period on July 12 and ended it July 16. I'm on a pretty regular 30-day cycle.

I started having almost-daily sex about a month ago with the new boyfriend and we don't use any form of birth control.

I'm not sure why I'm having a period right now. I'll try to get to the doctor Monday to get it checked out, but I'm hoping that I can get some sort of idea what this might be beforehand. Thanks!

So, I was given some sample packs of Femcon Fe about two months ago, and I'm wondering if long term symptoms are normal with this bc.

I've been, especially as of late, experiencing increased hunger and nausea. Basically, I cannot go for more than 2-3 hours without eating a meal, and when I do eat I get nausea. The nausea isn't anything particularly bad (I have yet to vomit), but it's enough to make me have to lay down for a while. I also tend to get nausea in the morning when I wake up.

I can't remember if the start of these symptoms coincided with the start of my first cycle of Femcon, but I'm really trying to explore the possibilities here instead of immediately assuming that I may be pregnant.

Any help? :/

I just happened to stumble across an article on WebMD that I thought the members of this community might be interested in.

Long story short, Yasmin is now available in a generic and a generic Yaz is currently in the works. (Though its release isn't scheduled until 2011. Boo!)

Article link

So for anyone who's taking Yasmin and is able to switch to a generic (I know not everyone has that option), you might want to look into this.

I tend to have a lot of problems with tampons. I've read the instructions many times over but I still can never seem to insert them correctly. After I put them in I can feel them and it's very uncomfortable. How do I know I've inserted the tampon far enough before I compress the applicator? Pulling the tampon out can be painful sometimes also and I'm not sure why. Does anyone know how I could make my attempts at tampon-use more successful?

Can going on the pill help alleviate PMS symptoms of rage, anxiety, depression and irritability? I've never been on the pill before, but a co-worker said she's on Yaz and it works wonders for her PMS.

I'm 39 and my boyfriend had a vasectomy many years ago so I don't need to worry about that aspect.

I'm also on Wellbutrin and I occasionally take Lorazapam for anxiety.

I know it's rather dumb and immature...but recently, I have been have really low self esteem issues with myself and I am fighting with my b/f constantly....We have been together for almost 4 yrs and he always told me he never checks out other people ( I know that he was just trying to make me feel better about myself and that is not true) but when I catch him looking at other people I get very angry/jealous/upset about it....I dont know how to get over these feelings...Anyone else have any ideas/similar experiences?? THANKS!!

Good Evening Ladies and Gents,

I have a silly little question and I checked the tags and vulvapedia and found nothing to do with this... so!

I'm assuming I'm still protected since you can take your ring out for two hours or so and be fine.  But I tend to take mine out everytime I have a bowel movement (I'm afraid it'll fall out and I'll have to dig it out of the toilet.)  I've heard it might come out if you strain to urinate or have a bowel movement... and that prompted me to take it out every time and just stick it back in when I'm through (after washing it off of course.)

Does anyone else do this?  Am I being completely silly?

Thanks lovelies!
