Bump on clit?

About two months ago I got a STI test done and the woman at PP said I had genital warts. I was prescribed Aldara for it. However, a couple weeks ago...I wanna say about 3-4 weeks ago I noticed this white bump thats literally on my clit. Its hard-you can feel it, but I've tried to like pull in it and it hurts...and it started bleeding. Could this have anything to do with the HPV? I;m not sure if its a wart but it definately doesnt look like the other ones....
any advice?

Changing NuvaRing start day

Hey everybody :)

I'm due to take out my first NuvaRing this Wednesday, because when I first started it I was apparently in a huge hurry to get started on it so I just stuck it in the second day of my period with total disregard for the day. (I know that's okay to do from the NuvaRing website, but I had a 5-day window from the start of my period, so I really could have waited.) However, now I'd really like to be a Sunday starter. How exactly would I go about remedying this? Should I take out my ring this Wednesday (10/3) as scheduled and then just put my new one in on Sunday (10/7) instead of a week later on Wednesday (10/10)? OR should I just wait to take it out until Sunday (10/7), thus leaving it in for longer than the recommended 3 weeks (but still shorter than the maximum of 4 weeks)?

Any advice is appreciated!

VVS and Mirena IUD

Some back story....
A while ago I posted regarding pain during sex and since then I have been told that I have vulvar vestibulitis. As a treatment, I was given a topical cream to apply, however after about a month using that I discontinued use because I felt it wasn't working. At my next doctors appointment the nurse said that it looked like I had a mild case of BV so I had treatment for that as well...I don't go back to the doctor until november so I can't be sure that it's completely gone. This past saturday I started physical therapy for my pelvic floor muscles with a urogynecologist...I'm hoping that will provide some results. I was talking with the physical therapist regarding the supposed connection between HBC and various vagina-related issues such as vvs, vulvodynia and others and she enforced the fact that studies seem to allude to the connection, but never anything specifically conclusive.

I stopped taking HBC about a month ago to test for myself if my symptoms would change. I was on LoEstrin 24. So far, I haven't really had the opportunity to find out if there is any less pain during intercourse. I've been contemplating and IUD for a while and I'm leaning much more towards the Mirena than the Paraguard because I know I would not be happy with my decision if it resulted in heavier, more painful periods.

Anyway, I guess that the main question I wanted to ask was whether or not anyone here with vvs, vulvodynia, etc. has gotten the Mirena IUC after being diagnosed and whether or not it helped, hindered, or nothing changed with their symptoms. I'm wondering if the hormones in the Mirena are low enough to not cause a problem and I'm just trying to get a feeling of what I could potentially expect...or perhaps change my mind and go with a copper IUD.

HBC & High Blood Pressure

Question for you wonderful people!!
Has anyone had their HBC stopped / Changed because of the combined Pill.
I am currently on Marvelon, which is not the newest of brands (7 years on it) and on my last visit to my doctor my BP was very high (180/90) she asked that I come back each month to have it checked before she will dole out the pill.
I don't particularly want to go on the pop as I have bad timekeeping and the implant just plain scare me (needles = eeeppp). I had it checked again at home (housemate is EMT) and it was still high, but down by 10ish, In my deffence I have been exceptionally stressed lately, more that I think I have been since I started on the pill so I think that is a factor and I am making dietary and lyfestyle changes to counteract levels it was before this incident

Can any of you recommend a combined pill that is good but lo-Oestrogen that won't make me go mad? or what to do to fix this (short of comming off HBC)

period issues

Hi superstars!

This is my first time posting, so hi everyone :-)
I had sex yesterday with my boyfriend and the condom broke inside me after he came. I'm not on any kind of HBC.
However, the last time I had my period was in august (I think the first day was the 25th). My cycles are usually very long, about six weeks. I think I will have my period some time this week.
Do I still need to take EC? I've taken it one time before, and it made me feel really bad, so I don't want to take it unless it's necessary.

Stronger Smell before Period

(Just to note, I'm not worried about this, nor do I think there is anything wrong with me.)

It seems that in most months lately, the week or so before my period, I start to notice a much more pungent smell in my vaginal regions when I open my legs. Nothing foul or weird, but what I would describe as "Wow! There's my vagina!"

Anyone else experience this?

Pregnancy Question

I've been taking birth control since January and I take it at pretty much the same time every night, only about  an hour late at most. I got  a UTI and was put on anitbiotics about 2 weeks ago and took 2 pills a day for 5 days. My gyno didn't tell me that anitbiotics made birth control less effective and I was having sex without a second form of protection, but my boyfriend did not cum inside me, only precum. I have just started spotting today and my period is  suppose to come on Friday or Sat. I have never spotted before my period so I think I may be pregnant. I took an at home pregnancy test today and it was negative, but it may be too soon to tell. I've been feeling nauseous for the past 3 days and throwing up a lot, almost every meal. If i were to be pregnant, it most likely happened sometime in the past three weeks. I'm very worried and I would like to get opinions on how high my chances of being pregnant are?

I posted this entry earlier about ovulation and nausea. Thanks for all the responses! Now I have one more question for you girls. My last period was on September 9th, and it probably lasted about 5-6 days. In the week following that, my boyfriend and I fooled around - we did not have sex. My cycle is usually 32 days long, which means I should get my period around October 10th. However, I think I was ovulating around last Thursday (also what my online ovulation calendar predicted) although I'm not 100% sure. So adding up those dates and considering the fact that we didn't have sex, the chances of this nausea being related to pregnancy are slim, correct?

Colposcopy at Planned Parenthood?

I had a pap test at Planned Parenthood and recieved results in the mail saying it was abnormal and I need a colposcopy.

I just called to make an apointment and they said they don't do colposcopies there. I have a referral for another gynecologist, so no problem really, it was just a bit odd to me seeing as how they provide other services.

Out of curiosity, does you PP perform them?

So, I'm constipated. I have been for a few weeks. I've had a few bowel movements, but definatly not as many as I should be having. My diet hasn't changed. My ammount of exercise hasn't changed.

The only thing i can think of is that I starting having sex again (after a few months of nada) a few weeks ago.

Can sex cause constipation?

The added medications include treatments for glaucoma, attention deficit disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, fungal infections and acne (Albright, St. Petersburg Times, 9/28). In addition, Wal-Mart will offer generic versions of the birth control drugs Ortho Cyclen and Ortho Tri-Cyclen and a fertility drug for $9 per 30-day supply.

The discount drug program, which started in September 2006, now will cover 361 prescriptions representing different formulations of 157 generic drugs (Saul, New York Times, 9/28). The new additions add about 24 prescriptions to the program (Bernstein, Long Island Newsday, 9/28).

I feel like I know the answer to this but:

If I take my prescription for Yasmin to a drug store and request the generic instead, could I get that? Another option is taking it to my college's health center, but I'm not sure how many brands they carry. I don't really have a reliable way of getting in touch my my gyno anytime soon to switch the prescription.

starting microgestin after loestrin

I've been using Loestrin 24 for about 4 months and I've really liked it but it's pretty expensive ($40 with insurance!) so I switched to a generic, Microgestin 28. I just finished my last pack of Loestrin, but I'm not sure when to start the new pills. The pamphlet only gives directions for 21 day or 28 day packs, but my pills were 24 day so I'm not sure if I need to take these right away or wait 7 days. I'm stressing out a little because I really don't want to mess up my body or the effectiveness. Anyone have any ideas or is there a general rule to follow when you're not sure? Also, my Loestrin was only 20 mcg of estrogen while the Microgestin is 30 mcg. Is this a big difference? I'm not a real big fan of hormones. The Loestrin was the first HBC I've ever had and I didn't have any bad side effects with it, and I would like to keep things that way. I was just curious if this will be a big enough difference to notice, and if maybe there is an ultra-low hormone generic available. Hey gals . . . quick question: I have to go get a cystoscopy in a couple weeks due to frequent UTI's -- anybody have one before, are they as horrible as they sound?  As far as I know I am getting a local anesthetic, but I'm still really nervous :-(

Experiences with Yasmin, and general question about side effects

I recently got a new prescription from my doctor for Yasmin (as opposed to Ortho Tricyclen which I have been taking). I have been reading up about it, since I won't be filling it out until my Ortho Tricyclen refills are up. A lot of websites with reviews have a majority of people giving it low scores, and it seems that most of them are because they are getting depression, or huge mood swings, or both.

I was wondering if anyone here takes Yasmin and has any opinions on whether Yasmin is more likely than not going to cause big mood swings and depression.

Also, I guess I haven't really had bad side effects from pills before, but I think I don't really understand how all of these people KNOW that these specific side effects are from taking the pill? I have a history of depression and such, and just can't see how I would be able to differentiate between it being a side effect of a pill or just general depression. Tips on that?
