Hi. I'm a new user to HBC and I'm on OTC-lo. And...I guess I'm trying to figure out which start method I used.

I got my period really, really late Saturday night, like after the time I want to take my BC (10 pm). I think my period came around 11 that night.

So I took it at 10pm Sunday night. Is that considered a first-day start or a Sunday start? I'm trying to figure this out just so I know how protected I am.

I mean the obvious answer is to use a backup method for 7 days just to be on the safe side but I am just curious.

----

Also, one night this past week I was about 20 minutes late taking my BC. It won't affect the effectiveness of the pill in any way, will it? Am I still 99% protected against pregnancy?

hey all,
to start off with, I'm 19, and I've had a breast reduction a little over a year ago. I'm about to start my first pack of birth control (tri-sprintec; generic for OTC) and I have this fear of my breasts getting larger. i'm already a d cup now, and i dont want bigger breasts at all. hehe
I wanted to know if anyone had a reduction and then started birth control if anything has changed for them.

thank you in advance!

Does anybody know if any health centers like Planned Parenthood have the new vaccine that prevent cervical cancer?

I'm having a slight problem and I hope someone can help. my diva cup leaks slightly, and when I go to check it, its always tilted wayyyy to the left in my vagina. I have to squeeze it and put it back straight, but by a few hours later its back tilted to the left again. I always insert it in straight, so it must happen while moving about during the day, I'm wondering if this happens to anyone else? do you think it has something to do with my anatomy? like maybe my vagina is tilted or something? anything that I can possibly do? Im pretty sure it tilting has something to do with it leaking. can anyone help me?

OK, so...a few days ago I noticed I had the same symptoms I had when I was diagnosed with BV a couple months ago: fishy smell, brown discharge. I'm getting STI testing at my school's health center, and I figured I'd just bring up these symptoms then, get diagnosed with BV, get antibiotics, everything would be OK. But yesterday, the brown discharge turned into blood...not just spotting, but just like I'm on my period, complete with cramps. The thing is, I'm on OTC-Lo, and am now on the last week of the active pills. I've been taking them on time, and this isn't just spotting, it's like a full-out period. How is this possible?? Also, the fishy smell has gone away.

I don't know if I should call my health center and switch my appointment so I can see a gyno instead, or if I could just bring this up when I go for STI testing. Can I even get tested while on my period? I don't need to get checked for chlamydia or gonorrhea, since I tested negative for them a few weeks after my last possible exposure. And I don't have any other possible symptoms, so would they just be doing blood tests for syphillis and HIV?

Mostly I want to know how I can have my period now. Thanks guys.

Hey all,

I have been on ortho evra for a while and was just recently put on Celexa. I had mentioned my BC use to my doctor before he gave me the prescription and I read through the pamphlet that celexa came with, searched, etc. but I can not find out anywhere if there is any interference between this drug and my BC.

Because you know, it would suck if it lessened the BC because I do enjoy my spontaenous sex. So, if any of you gals have read anything about interference, I would LOVE to know.

Thanks!
