Bleeding after starting BCP

I know everyone is different, and asking here is not even close to scientific, but for those of you who had breakthrough bleeding/bleeding while your body adjusted to the hormones when you started a new hormonal BC, how long did it last? I'm thinking I'm experiencing it, and if it's going to go on for more than this month, I'm not starting another pack, because I get no sex when I'm bleeding anyway.

Bleeding after gynecological exam?

I just came back from the gynecologist. I went once when I was 14 so she couldn't do a complete exam because I was too small. Now, I'm 19, and had the complete exam. I was really uncomfortable all throughout, for obvious reasons.
But now, I came home and noticed a tiny bit of bleeding. Is this normal? I'm not a virgin, and I've never bled during sex, so I didn't think this would be a problem. Has this happened to anyone else?

I started taking birth control pills about a week and a half ago ( with no side affects thank God), but I wanted to hear from other people who were taking the Alesse pills as well. What would you compliment about it, then on the other hand, what bad experiences have you had. I just want a little input. Thanks guys.

I've been off the pill 8 months.

In that time I've discovered the joys of the monthly-two-day-hornies which I assume is when I ovulate.

But I'm heading back to the boy in less than a month and my period just started, so back on I go.

Of course nothing operates in a vacuum so I don't know if improvements are due to being off the pill or other factors. Time will tell I guess.

Late period unexplained

I haven't had sex, but my period is late. I fool around and I know there are chances (slim, but they are chances) of becoming pregnant. We have dry sex and he has not came any of the times on me during it to my knowledge. But I'm still late and I'm hardly ever late. What could the other reasons be that I'm late?

Antibiotics delaying menstruation?

Hi everyone, I checked the archives and Google, but didn't find any pertinent information.
I have strep throat and an abscessed right tonsil. I'm on Keflex (antibiotic) 3 times a day for 10 days. Also, since I've been sick I haven't been eating as I normally do- very small portions of mushy stuff. Could all this delay my period? I'm also on OTC-lo on my placebo week. Thanks so much!:)

nuvaring slippage?

so i've been on the nuvaring for about 2.5 weeks and i'm due to take it out soon. for the last week, though, the nuvaring has been sliding down and is closer to my vaginal opening than it is to my cervix. does anyone else have this problem or know why this may be happening? is it possible that because the nuvaring is producing all this excess discharge and juiciness, in general, that all that fluid could be pushing the ring down with it, too? i literally have to push the ring up further inside of me at least twice a day. oh, and it's not my PC muscles--trust me, those suckers are strong and toned.

Plan B delaying Period?

I took plan B at the begining of September, and the package said it should not delay my period even if I had spotting.

I had spotting a week after taking the pill, but it seemed a little heavy. Is it possibly the pill made my period come 2 weeks early?

I am now 3 weeks late, but took a pregnancy test on saturday that was negative.

I don't know if I should be worried.

I only took Plan B as an extra percaussion, after a drunk night, and a "I'm not so sure the condom was on right" kind of thing.

So it was pretty much just to be safe.

I did however drink the day I took the plan B (I know not smart)

So should I be worried?

I was on MetroGel last week for Bacterial Vaginosis, and I experienced the clumpy discharge which is apparently a normal result of using the gel. However, it's been four days since my final application, and I'm still having clumpies. Is this normal?

Spotting? Kind of?

I've been on the Nuvaring since January, and have been using it correctly. My period has been normal ever since...I get it when I'm supposed to, and absolutely nothing has changed with the flow. Lately, I've been noticing some faint spotting on my underwear in between periods. It's extremely light, pink, and the size of a pen point (it's really only one or two spots like that, and that's it). I've only been noticing this for less than a week and this is about the second week of my cycle. Anybody have any idea of what could be going on? Could this be a sign of pregnancy, or could it be something else? Thanks for all your help!
