artificialmuse.livejournal.comhello.
i have been cultivating a long line of UTIs as of late, and i'm starting to get anxious. since about february, i've been getting at least one a month (or, if i'm lucky, one every other month). i've been on a 10-day, twice-a-day, 500mg regimen of cipro a couple of months ago (when one became so bad i had to be taken to the ER), and my RN of a mother has now put me on a five-day, twice-a-day regimen of bactrim.
since i just moved for college to charleston, sc, i don't have a primary care physician as of yet. this situation is only worsened due to the fact that i receive medicaid from the state of north carolina, and since i don't turn 18 until this december, i'm unable to switch to south carolina medicaid. however, i am alarmed by the amount of UTIs (despite many antibiotics, clean hygiene, drinking a gallon of water&tea a day, peeing after sex, etc), and want to know if there are any other preventive techniques, or reasons behind my mass instances of fire pee, before i can land a trip to the dee arr.
thanks.
:)
