Could someone explain the process of ovulation to me. I've had my period since 6th grade but I suprised myself the past few days with how little i really know about it. What kinds of things do most of you experience during ovulation?

First off, thank you guys so much for all the advice and support on the comdom breaking crisis. I love you guys!

So, on that note though. What kind of condoms do you guys reccomend? What are your thoughts on spermacide? And diaphrams? Birth control doesnt work for me, everything Ive tried is too strong and makes me throw it up, so it obvisually doesnt get into my system.

Thanks!

hello.

i have been cultivating a long line of UTIs as of late, and i'm starting to get anxious. since about february, i've been getting at least one a month (or, if i'm lucky, one every other month). i've been on a 10-day, twice-a-day, 500mg regimen of cipro a couple of months ago (when one became so bad i had to be taken to the ER), and my RN of a mother has now put me on a five-day, twice-a-day regimen of bactrim.

since i just moved for college to charleston, sc, i don't have a primary care physician as of yet. this situation is only worsened due to the fact that i receive medicaid from the state of north carolina, and since i don't turn 18 until this december, i'm unable to switch to south carolina medicaid. however, i am alarmed by the amount of UTIs (despite many antibiotics, clean hygiene, drinking a gallon of water&tea a day, peeing after sex, etc), and want to know if there are any other preventive techniques, or reasons behind my mass instances of fire pee, before i can land a trip to the dee arr.

thanks.
:)

YI Question

Don't worry, I checked the archives first. :o}

My husband and I were sexually active and I had experience some irritation but chalked it up to rough sex and didn't think too much about it until I noticed that his penis had a bit of yeast on it after the act. I've had a YI before while not sexually active so I wasn't thinking about the irritation as a symptom. Everything else lined up however so I'm treating with a one day vaginal anti-fungal cream. The leaflet that comes with the cream advises not to have intercourse for the first few days after treatment. This is mirrored in the VP archives about YI.

Out of concern for my husband possibly getting the YI also, I did a general call to my pharmacist. He suggested that hubby use some of the medication just in case and one of the more pleasurable ways to do that was through vaginal intercourse while I was treating if we are in a monogamous relationship, etc.

So now I'm uber confused. I put a call into my Dr's office but she's out of town until Monday by which the question will be moot. Does anyone have any feedback that can be offered?

Thanks!

I'm in my second month ever on hormonal BC (Ovcon 35) and both months I've bled for a week beginning and ending the same days. Should I consider this breakthrough bleeding or a period? Has this coincidence happened to anyone else? Are any of you ladies using the same pill? Answers to any of these questions are greatly appreciated.

my boyfriend and i have unprotected sex quite often (7-15 times a week), and he ejaculates in me. i posted a while back about having bacterial vaginosis a few weeks ago.

the reason i went to the gyno, was because we noticed that there was some sort of discharge (from my vagina) on penis after we had sex. it was more towards the middle and base, not so much around the head.
this went on for about 3 or 4 weeks before i thought to go to the gyno. the discharge was white and dry, sort of the consistancy of baby powder but more flaky. i searched online but i couldnt find anything about it. so i went to the gyno, because i thought i had a yeast infection and that the yeast was what was on his penis. i had a pap smear, and there were clue cells (indicating BV).

we started having sex in late february, we always used condoms until i went on ortho tricyclen lo in early may. early june, i noticed that i wasnt as wet as i used to be, and i blamed it on my body getting used to the pill. a little later that month we started noticing the powdery stuff on him.

after i was done with my metrogel for BV, my vagina lubrication was normal again. so i dont think i still have BV.

SO. is this..

-yeast?
-dried up cum that his penis digs out of me?
-still bacterial vaginosis?
-something else? :-/

and its definitley coming out of ME and not HIM.

help!
