I have my firstest ever Smear today. It rocked, The little swabs look like toothbrushes hehe. And they tickled. I had to stifle a laugh.

I found out I have a long vagina! She told me that the next smear / exam I have, tell them to use the long speculum. I thought it rocked that its long :D She was explaining to me all about how women have different lengthened vaginas, she had a little Asian woman in the other day who had a very short vagina, and had to use the smallest speculum.

hi everyone. i'm new here.

i finished using terazol inserts for a yeast infection maybe 3 days ago, which are a 3-day treatment. my question is, if the product breaks down latex, how long should i wait afterwards to have sex?

A small question on the Instead softcups, I've gone to the website to get a free sample - although it's going to cost me $7.50 for shipping. I want to give them a go just to see what they are like, all I have to go on when talking about Instead cups is what other people have said and I'd like a comparison between Instead cups and my Mooncup. That said however I'm still not sure I want to spend that much money just to try 3 little cups, it might have to wait (and yes I do have Scottish blood).

Anyway, I had a look at the prices on the site, ran them through a currency converter, divided them by boxes and compared them to the price of tampons, is it just my bad reckoning or are Instead cups expensive? Do they get taxed too? How much are tampons in the US?

quick question.
i know that smoking while on the pill isn't recommended.
but what exactly is it about smoking that isn't compatible with the pill.
i mean, i've heard of the possibility of blood clots,
but what causes it.
i'm curious.
thanks to anyone who can answer that.
peace,
lorena

hey guys,
i know that smoking while on the pill isn't recommended,
but what exactly is it that clashes with the chemicals,
i mean, i've heard of blood clots...
if anyone can help, i'd appreciate it.
btw, i'm going to be starting ortho tri-cyclen after my next period starts,
i'm curious about this smoking business.
thanks.
peace,

Hi ladies :>

I'm just curious about something.

Wednesday, I started a pilates and tae bo routine (following dvds, not at a gym). Wednesday I did an hour of each, and I was fine.

Yesterday, I did half an hour of each (following from the main routine, rather than watching and practicing with the intros) and I noticed some cramping afterword. Granted, tae bo can be rather intensive, I'm not in good shape so it's rougher on me than to someone who's been doing it for a while, but I found it really odd that I had some lower back cramping.

It wasn't an "I worked too hard" cramp. It was somewhere between lower back period pain and muscle pain.

Has anyone with an IUD had cramping after some intensive working out? It didn't last very long, and I'm not worried about hurting myself (visions of the "T" part of my iud going through my uterine wall danced through my head briefly, then I thought "probably not").

That's all. Just my slightly sleepy rambling for the day.

Oprah?

I am wondering if anyone watched Oprah yesterday. They were talking about a young lady that just died with no explained reason. They later linked it to blood clots in her spleen that was caused by the Birth Control Pill. It was pretty ineterested how it all started and then ended with 4 months of hunting for a cause.

So, on a whim (because that’s how I prefer to do these things), I got my clitoral hood pierced today, (Vertical hood with a 12ga curved barbell for the curious), and since it’s all fresh in my mind I thought I’d add this post to the communal wisdom we have hear about such piercings

The whole experience was really interesting, but really great overall. ExpandRead more... )

I think possibly the most interesting thing about the whole experience is that right now, I’m very aware of my clit, which is usually something that I’m only aware of when I’m turned on. Not that this is a problem or anything - I think it’s neat to be so aware of myself. :)

I use the menstrual sea sponge. I've had this happen to me a couple of times now, and I wonder if I can prevent it.

I sneeze, muscles clench, fluid comes forth. The fluid smells like pee, just not as strong, and it's clear rather than yellow. The only time it happens is when I'm wearing the sponge, never any other time.

What is the fluid? I don't think it's urine, and I always wring out my sponge before inserting it so I don't think it's water. I DON'T want to wear a pad if I can avoid it.

Also, my vagina burns a bit after I insert it. It's like the sponge scrapes it a bit. It fades after a few moments. I pinch it together and push it up, letting it branch back out when it's against my cervix. Any tips for keeping it from burning?

A couple of weeks ago, I asked if anybody else had ever had pink discharge, and sadly, no one was able to comment. In the meanwhile, I've been nosing around on the web and found that the Mayo Clinic page on vaginosis (of which yeast infections are a type) lists slight bleeding as one of the possible symptoms of vaginosis! I was very relieved to find something out there that mentioned this symptom, so I thought I'd share it with y'all. Just in case.
