I went out and bought Cunt and The Vagina Monologues today after seeing them both mentioned here and given so much praise by members. The books were 20% off too because Borders bookstore in my town is having discounts for students until Saturday.

I've only been in this community for about 2 weeks and already I've learned so much! Bought these 2 books, bought a DivaCup last week and now I'm really wanting to get my sewing machine working to make pads. YIKES! Fantastic!

so don't laugh at me.

Recently I went for my first gyn check up. The doctor did a breast exam and everything. Well afterwards (like a day or so) I realized I had horrible dark purple bruises all over my breasts. Is that normal? They lasted a while (obviously turned yellow and stuff like bruises do).

Hello all. As you know, us admins have no problem posting entries for other individuals for whatever reason.

and here we go!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hello everybody! i do not have a livejournal so i asked one of our very
lovely admins to post my question (i've been watching this community for so
long and i think it's a great idea so i feel part of it although i am not) .
so, here's my question:

im in a long distance relationship which means im going to see my boyfriend
for 3 weeks in october but after that i won't see him for like 5 months.
during our common summer break we used condoms but they broke twice so i had
to get morning after pills which was really not the best experience in the
world cause it caused so much trouble to get them. so i never wanna get
through that again!
after i told this whole story to my doctor he prescribed me a regular bc
called lamuna 30 (i never wanted to get on to the pill but it seems to me
that there is no other possibility that is as "easy" AND safe).

do you think i could just take it for ONE month and then stop it again for
the next 5 months? are there any special risks about that?
i couldn’t find any information about this question in the paper that came
with the pills so i guess it should be alright.
i mean, if it's dangerous to take it only for one month how can it be less
dangerous taking it for half a year??!
does anyone have any good information or advice about this?

thanks a lot!!

OK, I FINALLY made my 1st ever appointment with the vagina doctor. I'm doing it at my school's health center cuz for $100 they give you a full exam AND a year of BC pills. And my insurance won't cover it ad when my parents find out I'm on BC I'm dead (I'm still on their insurance). But of course, I have a few questions...

They have OTC, OTC-Lo, Nordette, and Allese. Any personal experiences? I remember reading good things about Allesse, so I'm considering asking for that one.

Also, I'm taking his mainly for period control cuz my cramps are bad and I receive comments a while back about the pill helping tons with that. Any certain one better than the other? Is it that worth it?

Something in me feels like I'm almost rejecting a part of being a woman by going on the pill and controlling my cycle - like I don't like the way my body does it naurally. ANd I think it's great, I just can't stand the pain.

just so you know ahead of time - You're awesome!

Anyone have home remedies for an irritated, itchy vagina?

I've used carmax for it's cooling properties... :P

hi all, this is my first post. i love this community. i have a problem though...

i am displeased. is it possible to be allergic--or at least very sensitive--to semen? my partner came inside of me for the first time a few days ago, and afterwards my pussy was very VERY angry. we tried having sex again that day but it hurt so much i had to ask him to stop! which pissed me off, to say the least, because i was otherwise having the time of my life. it was an intense burning pain. even now, a few days later, it's still angry & i worry it's gonna hurt to have sex again. i've been refraining in an effort to pacify it. this is insanity because before this happened, we'd been having sex just about non-stop for a week and a half (a slight exaggeration), with absolutely no soreness or pain on my part.

at this point i'm itchy & bleh. the itchiness it might have a little to do with the fact that i buzzed off most of the hair down there (which i don't normally do), and the short hairs are pokey & scratchy (not ingrown), but i think it's mostly still irritated from the other night. have any of you ever experienced this, having your pussy be extraordinarily irritated by semen? do you have any suggestions? besides using condoms (we have reasons for not using them), and other obvious solutions like having him pull out? hrm.

p.s. this is not a troll-- i'm using this account to remain anonymous because i don't want my friends/family/etc. to read this & know who i am... sorry for that.

i started having sex with my boyfriend in June and in the beginning i had no problem staying lubricated enough for intercourse. now it's September and we can barely ever get his penis in there because I am so dry. I don't udnerstand what it is. it seems like my dryness is kinda recent, it started probablyabout 3 weeks ago. i don't know what the problem is. he refuses to use lubrication and id on't know what to do. we have sex a lot, every time we see each other. usually once a day, but never goes over 3 times a day. is that why?

So gals, virgin poster here =]

I have this bumpy-cut looking thing on the very high inside of my thigh, right on the pubic bone. I've been feeling it for a while, but being a shaver, I figured it was an ingrown, so I waited it out to see if it would come up to the surface like I usually do and pick it out. Well, yesterday, after I got out of the shower, it looked like it was ready to be plucked. So, I put some antibacterial on it, got a steril needle and went to town. I've done it before, so it was nothing out of the norm. I snagged the little hair and plucked it out, cleaned the bump again and that was that.

Well, today when I got dressed, I noticed it turned like a redish-black color, like a bruise. I couldnt do much about it, so I went about my day. Well, from being irritated by my panties and jeans and such, it got worse. When I got into the shower today, I notice it ripped open. Its no more than a quarter inch or so, but anything cut down there seems horrible, lol. I looked at it, and it looked like a round bump trying to come out of the slit/cut skin. I'm thinking I just cut it too much with the needle, so I was careful cleaning it and put some neosporin on it and I'm hoping it'll clear up within a few days. What do you gals think?

Question?
