Some of you might remember the letter to my body that I wrote and posted in here a month or so ago.

I'm still working on that stuff, and have started a morning ritual of looking at or touching or talking to or writing about one of my body parts each day. Yesterday, I stared at my vagina in the full lengthed mirror and today I looked at my breasts and kinda held them up and looked all around them.

It's amazing how much of a positive affect this has had on me. I think that making friends with my body is going to really help me get over some of my trauma issues and allow my wonderfully patient boyfriend to touch me more frequently.

I just wanted to share that with this sex-and-body-positive space. :)

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all the kind people who responded to my UTI post.
I have been drinking cranberry juice and taking the pills, and will make sure I take every last bit of them.
So, thank you very much to those VaginaPagina users who helped me out with the infection from Hell.

I am on my 3rd week of Ortho Evra(birth controll patch). I have lost the insert information about what to do after the third week. I know its time to let myself flow, but how long am I off the patch for? I tired getting the information from their web site, but the pdf file is written with tiny text and I can't read it. Thanks for the help in advance.

today at drama rehearsal, being normal high school students, we were having inappropriate discussions. and it came up that this girl jesse had read that the average vagina is 8 inches deep/long/whatever. is that right? i thought it was shorter.

oh and on another note: this guy, sean, walked in and said PENIS very loudly, so i said VAGINA and he was like, "no, stop that. that's a very dirty word." why is penis okay but vagina isn't? sigh.

Damiana - vastly improves female sex drive. you have to take small doses consistently for at least a week and a half before you notice results. but I SWEAR that this stuff really works! I don't take it now, but I will if I ever become sexually active again.

Parsley - eating several taboulleh salads, fresh parsley, or several cups of parsley tea will bring on your period.

Black Cohosh - very good for starting your period. Take consistently, but stop a day into your period.

Dong Quai - general all-purpose women's herb - good for balancing female hormones. nice to take occasionally in small doses.

Raspberry Leaves - mostly good for the urinary tract and illnesses associated with it. Especially good at maintaining good tissue in the uterus, strengthening and toning it.

Cramp Bark - as the name implies, relieves painful cramps during menstration.

Uva Ursi - never used this myself, but have heard its also a "women's herb" - good for Uterine area
