vaginapagina | On day seven of heavy, clotty period

I'm on day seven - actually, glancing at the clock, technically day 8 - of a period that won't leave. I'm having heavy bleeding with clots, which I usually have for 3-4 days of my period, but it should be totally be gone by now. My last period was insanely heavy, to the point where I debated seeing my doctor about it, but it ended on time and I figured I could wait to see if it was just a one-off.

At first I thought it could be endometriosis related - I had surgery to remove it from my ovaries about five years ago but I've heard it can recur - but I'm concerned about endometrial cancer. Especially since I've had bad-smelling discharge for over a year now - I had it at my last GYN exam, everything checked out normal except for my usual ovarian cyst, so I figured it wasn't worth worrying about.

I was wondering if anyone here could give me some information about the likelihood of having cancer. I'll be 33 in a couple of months. No history of fibroids, don't have PCOS, hormones all in whack. Reproductive organs were structurally normal except for that one ovarian cyst last spring.

Seeing my doctor on Monday but it's going to be a long weekend.
