Excessive body hair/PCOS/Removal

Hi! So, i have excessive body hair- it's fine but dark, literally covering my body. Some places less than others obviously, but it's a huge insecurity of mine. It concerns me because it's in places that I feel it shouldnt be (I've never met anyone else with hair in these places) like in between breasts, covering my stomach, lower back and butt cheeks, and around my nipples and even finer hair on my breasts. For a short period of time my gyno thought it could be from PCOS, because I had irregular periods and ovarian cysts as well. She prescribed a birth control to possibly help with all three symptoms, but I stopped taking it because I kept forgetting and making my cycle worse, plus I had no partner at the time, and it wasn't really helping. As far as the hair goes, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of some of the body hair? I was thinking laser hair removal, but I have never done this before and wanted to know if anyone could share their experiences either with laser or just dealing with excessive hair in general.
