vaginapagina | Is this normal to feel?

I haven't had sex in years. I've only been with one person, my ex-boyfriend, and even with him I didn't have much sex

A few days ago I finally had sex again with someone new. I was completely turned on and extremely wet, but when he first thrust in it kind of hurt a little. Nothing very painful, but it definitely felt like I was being 'stretched' and when he would thrust in harder I would feel that same pain.

Again, it was nothing unbearable and it felt really good anyway, but is this normal to feel? Did it slightly hurt because my Vagina is not used to sexual activity? If I keep having sex regularly will this not happen anymore?
