vaginapagina | how long untreated bv turns into pid

hi all,

i had BV for 4 months that would NOT go away and i tried many, many things to get rid of it. it is finally gone with longer term use of florafemme, a vag probiotic. im concerned about pid given the 4 month bv. i started having some very mild, on and off feeling in my pelvic/bladder area. i also had a tad bit of stomach pain before, and got freaked out about pid. how long does it usually take for bv to turn into pid? i saw someone say a year but others saying 'any bv left untreated.' thoughts????
