Hi everyone. I have a strange problem. Last year I went off the birth control pill and I couldn't have my period. That lasted 6 months. The dr's put me back on the pill and then everything was fine. 7 months later, I went off the pill again, and now I haven't had my period for three months. Everyone thinks I'm lucky, and I'd think so too if I wasn't in so much pain because of it. I know I'm not pregnant. I went to the dr's again this week, and I told him that I'm planning on having children and therefore the pill is not an option. He says that I have cysts on my ovaries, but he won't do an ultrasound. Should I be worried about cancer or infertility? If these cysts are the same from last year his treatments are not going to work on me. I know I'll get more answers in a month, but I don't want to wait that long. Advice, please.

Why isn't your doctor giving you this information?

And WHY is he refusing to do an ultra sound? these are all medical questions, what IS your doctor doing for you?

he CAN'T be sure you have cysts on your ovaries without an ultrasound.

get a new doctor.

I've had cysts since I was 14. There has been numours different birth control that I have used. They actually switched me a couple months ago and I haven't had a period in 2 months either. Don't be worried about cancer or infertility untill u get another doctor!!!

I know that you posted this last week .. but I just came across it ...

I urge you to immeditally seek a second opinion.

Your doctor sounds like a quack!
