hi everyone!

warning: this is a tad tmi!

I have been on the birth control patch off and on since I was 15. I've been on consistently since I was 19. I have skipped a total of two periods (wearing a patch on patch free week) but I've been pretty consistent with it in the 3 years I've been on it. Recently I had a camp job and was going through a lot of personal drama and stress and was spotting at the camp counselor gig. There wasn't much so I didn't think anything of it because well, stress and being more active blahbalalaha.

My best friend/fun buddy came home this past week and we have been having fun with everything but vaginal/anal penetration but with fingering, rubbing and all those good things but I've been bleeding, not a lot but two panties are definitely ruined. I don't bleed during, I will notice it after the 'fun' - it makes me worried I am infected but it doesn't smell any different than my period blood and my discharge seems to be fine too, also my period is next week as I take off my current patch this Sunday. OH also, I have a very tight vagina - it's a tad ridiculous and yes my hymen is already broken.

thanks so much! I truly am grateful for this community

So it's the week before your withdrawal bleed, and you're experiencing breakthrough bleeding? You've been experiencing spotting all summer and have chalked it up to stress?

Is it possible that this spotting is still connected to the stress spotting? Skipping your period can also lead to breakthrough bleeding in a lot of people. I can also see how if you had been having breakthrough bleeding, fingering and orgasm could help expel some of that.

Does your cervix seem particularly sensitive? That might indicate infection, or it could just indicate that your cervix is upset at the fingering intrusions! Strange smells or discharge is also another reason to suspect infection.

PS: Hydrogen peroxide is fabulous at removing bloodstains! It even does so without really bleaching the fabric, though I've only ever used it on solid color cotton, not prints or more delicate fabrics.

I'm a bit confused by the post and your timeline... But, I did have chlamydia at one point and the ONLY symptom I had for MONTHS was occasional breakthrough bleeding and spotting. It looked/smelled/acted just like spotting I have before and after every period/withdrawal bleed, and I chalked it up to no big deal.

Finally after several months I developed other symptoms and went to the gyno and sure enough... had chlamydia the entire time.

Personally I would get tested JIC.
