I've had noticeably longer labia minora since I was about nine and began going through puberty. They actually scared me growing up because I thought they were two empty little ball sacks and was convinced I was born a boy! Anyways, so while I know it's not necessarily "normal", is it anything to be ashamed of? I may at some point get them surgically removed but I'm not sexually active and don't plan to be in the near future so it's not a huge problem. Just wonderin'.

Estrogen has a tendency to make labia longer, your genitalia skin darken, etc. This is totally, absolutely, wonderfully normal.

Mine are distinctly longer than my majora. Sometimes I adjust my vulva before PIV (like adjusting a shirt sleeve before putting on your coat, really), but other than that it's never been an issue. It sounds like a cliche but it's true: nobody who deserves to see you naked will care about this.

I have to adjust before PIV too. My partner actually really likes it, because my hand's right there, so I can just go ahead and guide him in. Super easy!

Entirely possible! I don't know much about endocrine disorders and estrogen sensitivity, but it seems like a reasonable inference.
