Can someone please tell me how to stack triphasic HBC? I just started on one and I usually stack my packs together to avoid getting my period. I haven't ever been on triphasic HBC (I'm on it for acne) so I don't know how to do it! Do I just skip the last week and go from one pack to the next, or do I stack the pills in a certain order?

Thanks!

You can do that, but it's not the best way. The Vulvapedia addresses this question: http://www.vaginapagina.com/index.php?title=Hormonal_Birth_Control#Can_I_skip_periods_on_hormonal_birth_control.3F

When you are on birth control pills, your bleeding starts because your hormone levels drop when you switch to inactive pills or no pills. With a tri-phasic pill, each week has a different level of hormones, so if you just stacked 1-2-3-1-2-3, there would be a hormone drop from 3 to 1 in the middle. So you could start bleeding. If you stack 1-1-2-2-3-3 or 1-1-1-2-2-2-3-3-3, then you avoid the hormone drop.

What Nickelshoe said. If you have already gone past week 1, though, you can try stacking packs in a 1-2-3-3-2-1 pattern, so that the hormone drop (from week 3's high hormones to week 2's lower hormones) will not be as abrupt as the drop from 3 to 1, and may not trigger your uterus to bleed.

Or you can mix-and-match a little: 1-1-2-2-3-3-3-2-1, for instance, if you aren't sure you'll manage to stack for a full three months, but want to take a stab at it.

Good luck!
